Meticulous vineyard protocol is practiced to produce low yield, highly concentrated fruit. winemaking Artesana wines are made in small lots with minimal intervention, allowing the character of the fruit to be expressed. 20-day cool maceration regimes provide excellent aroma and flavor extraction. Barrel aging is done in French and American oak for 12-18 months to carefully accentuate the flavors of the wines. Custom blended and bottled without fining or filtration, wines are bottle aged an additional 6-12 months.
