opportunity to encourage young people to make the remodeling
industry a career.
East Valley Institute of Technology in Mesa has among its
amazing trade programs, a very active Construction Trades
program. They are looking to GP NARI to bring in professionals
to speak to the students (high school juniors and seniors)
about their respective jobs in the trade.
There is a morning class and afternoon class for a total of
approximately 40 students. Ideally, we would like the same
people to speak to both classes. Speakers will have an hour to
address the students and even do some hands-on projects in
addition to speaking.
If you would like to be added to the pool of professionals I call
upon to speak or mentor students, please send me an email
indicating so. Note specific areas you would like to address.
Additionally, we are looking for members to help conduct mock
interviews and review the students' resumes on Wednesday,
April 23rd. If this is of interest to you, please let Susan in the GP
NARI office know. This is only a mock interview, and
interviewers are not expected to hire students (unless of
course you meet a student you want to hire).
