ELEVATOR MODERNIZATION AND UPGRADES
Jaffrey Grade School, Jaffrey Middle School, Conant High School
The Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative School District is requesting sealed bids for the replacement of
elevator controls and other specified components for three (3) elevators within the school district.
Sealed bids will be accepted until 11 am on Thursday, April 29, 2015. Any variance to the bid
specifications must be specifically noted in your response. All elevator replacement parts and
labor must be installed after July 1, 2015 and completed on or before August 28, 2015. Mail your

A mandatory pre-proposal walk-through will be held at 3:00p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
Interested bidders should meet in the main office of Conant High School, 3 Conant Way, Jaffrey,
NH.
The winning bid will be chosen on its merit consisting of cost, bidder’s reputation, references,
and the ability to meet the District’s time schedule, service after-the-fact and the best all-around
interest to the Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative School District.
The Jaffrey-Rindge School Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept that
bid which appears to be in the best interest of the district, even if the bid is not the lowest price.
The board reserves the right to waive any formalities in, or reject, any or all bids or any part of
any bid. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled time for the opening of bids. Any
bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. The board also reserves
the right to negotiate with a bidder when all bids exceed the budgeted appropriation.

Conant High School
Replace existing controller with a new non-proprietary control system. The motor starter shall be
solid state. The controls shall operate in selective collective operation, and shall include
independent service, as well as fire service operation.
Replace the car operating panel with a new panel that includes integral emergency lighting, and
ADA phone.
Replace hall call stations with new fixtures.
Replace the door operators with new closed loop GAL MOVFR operator’s

Install new Infrared detector on both doors if not already installed.
The elevator shall be made fire code compliant, including all necessary wiring for and including
circuitry for the operation of smoke detectors. The owner will have the fire detection devices
installed by others.
