Best wishes to all our student-athletes as they enter the post season. For the first time in memory, our softball team has qualified for the post season. Our team plays the last regular season game at home vs Anacortes today, on May 15. Swing by and catch the game at BHS. District play begins on Wednesday, May 20 at Janicki Field in SedroWoolley. Our track and field team is just warming up and has set its sights deep into the post season. You can catch Sub-district and District competition at Civic Stadium starting at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, and 3:30 p.m. on May 20 and 22. Good luck to our girls tennis doubles team of Ellie Iwerson and Mariah Miller. They compete at Sehome High School on Monday and Tuesday for a chance to go to State, at the University of Washington on May 29 and 30. If they make it, they will join our boys' doubles team Nathan Pearsall and Logan Schilder at the UW as well. Finally, our girls and boys golf teams are peaking at the right time. District golf will be on Monday and Tuesday. The boys will be at Snohomish, the girls at Skagit. State for both squads will be held in Spokane. Chad Larsen Athletics/Activities Frank Hoetker, (Darby's Story), will speak at the Bellingham High School Library on May 15 at 6 pm. Athletes wanting to sign up need to complete the sports physical form (available at the ASB or Activities Offices) and return the completed form and $10.00 to the ASB Office by the end of school, Fri., May 22th. The fee for sign-ups the evening of the physicals is $20.00. The Jr./Sr. Prom will be held on Saturday June 6th at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club from 8-11:00pm. Sr. Tickets will be $5 and Jr. Tickets will be $15 (any student without an ASB card will pay an additional $5). Tickets will go on sale on June 1st in the ASB office. Please complete the dance agreement prior to purchasing a ticket. We will be hosting a dinner at Lairmont Manor at 6:30pm before Prom. Dinner tickets are $5 and will be available June 1st-4th.
