THANK YOU MEALS ON WHEELS AND ALL THE VOLUNTEERS
FOR YOUR SERVICE IN THE FIGHT AGAINST HUNGER
On Friday, March 27, 2015, the Bethlehem Mounted Police Unit delivered meals with Meals on
Wheels of Northampton County to residents in the City of Bethlehem as part of the “March for
Meals on Wheels” annual campaign.
Each year, the “March for Meals on Wheels” campaign is a month long national Meals on
Wheels program which is designed to generate public awareness about senior hunger issues and
to celebrate the invaluable service that Meals on Wheels and their volunteers do year round
across the nation.
Today, Pharaoh, George and Raven and Officers Michael Leaser, Officer Jon Buskirk and
Officer Josh Holschwander delivered meals to seniors. Other celebrities like Mario Andretti,
Senator Lisa Boscola, The Nam Nights of American Lehigh Valley Chapter, WFMZ Channel
69, the Morning Call, local Mayors, State Representatives, Tony Iannelli, Iron Pigs Ferrous and
Fefe and others, also delivered meals to seniors throughout the month of March.
Thank You Meals on Wheels of Northampton County for permitting us again to be part of this
great program in promoting awareness to senior hunger issues and senior nutrition issues across
the county. Thank you Meals on Wheels and all your great volunteers for the valuable service
you provide.
