advantage and to benefit from all the latest (technical)
developments which are incorporated in it.
• Ensure that it always gives the best performance by following the
simple, but strict advice concerning regular maintenance.
• Enable you to deal quickly with minor faults not requiring
specialist attention.

familiarise yourself with the information and guidelines it contains
about the vehicle and its features. If certain points are still unclear, our
Sales representatives will be pleased to provide you with any
additional information you require.
In case of any technical problems, always contact your supplier.

Fuel tank (70/221/EC)
Exhaust system (70/157/EC)
Important:
The original fuel tank has been replaced by a stainless steel model
which can contain 45 litres of fuel (including 6 litres of spare fuel).
Because the new fuel tank is smaller than the original fuel tank,
the fuel gauge on the dashboard will show ¾ (as indicated in the
image) when the tank is full. From this point on, the correct level
of fuel will be displayed.
The original exhaust is replaced. This model is made from stainless
steel and is TIG welded. A new exhaust is only available from your
converter. Always mention the VIN and the engine type of the car.
The tie-down/occupant belts system is tested to ISO - 10542.
We do not guarantee any other use of the tie-down/occupant belt
system then for the restraint of the wheelchair and occupant.
The ramp is strong enough to carry an occupied wheelchair with
a total combined weight of 300 kg max. We do not guarantee any
other use of the ramp.

4-Point belt fixation
Q’Straint-ISO 10542
This system uses four belts with J-hooks to fit around the frame of the
wheelchair. The two front belts are provided with an electrical lock.
Before you enter the vehicle with the wheelchair you have to unlock
the belts by pressing the switch (fig. 1), which allows you to pull them
out of the vehicle and hook them onto the wheelchair (fig. 2).
Ensure that you lock the belts by pressing the other side of the switch
(illumination is off).

When the wheelchair is positioned
you can hook on the two rear belts
and pull them tight by rotating the
turning knobs (see fig. 3 and 4).
It is now time to fasten the 3-point
belt for the wheelchair passenger.
Hook up the extra belt onto the left
belt housing (see fig. 6). Fasten the
passenger with the 3-point belt. For
releasing the belts you press the lever
on the belt housings (see fig. 5).

Whenever the front belts are released and fully rolled up, there is a
chance that they will not release again. To solve this, make sure the
switch is in the release position and then pull the belt firmly and then
slightly release it again. This will tighten the belt and it will give the
belt the ability to rotate back slightly, allowing it to be unlocked.
Important:
• Too much tension applied by the belts can damage the
wheelchair!
• Never forget to apply the brakes of your wheelchair and to
fasten the passenger’s safety belt!
• When not in use, make sure the belts are locked or the system
will drain power from your battery.

The use of the

Please be careful when folding the seat. If this is not done as described
in this manual, the interior of your vehicle can be damaged.
Release the seat by
pulling the handle, on
top of the seat (fig. 1).

Make sure the backrest of the seat
stands upright (fig. 2).

To place the seat back to it’s position, follow the same steps in reverse
order. Push the seat firmly back into the locking mechanism (fig 6).

Foldable ramp
(optional)
In order to easily load and unload luggage when there won’t be a
wheelchair in the car, your vehicle can be equipped with a foldable
ramp.
To fold the ramp into the lowered floor, pull the red levers at the same
time towards you. Now you can carefully lower the ramp in the
vehicle.

Hydraulic
lowering system
(optional)
For easy accessibility, your vehicle is equipped with a hydraulic
lowering system in addition to a lowered vehicle floor. This hydraulic
lowering system consists of an electro/hydraulic pump and two
hydraulic cylinders which are mounted under your vehicle.
To lower the vehicle, use the black side of the green switch in the back
of the vehicle (see fig. 1). You can now hear the pump operate. The
car will lower until the stroke of the hydraulic cylinder of the lowering
system has reached its end. You can release the switch and unfold the
ramp to load or unload the wheelchair.
To raise the vehicle back to the driving position, you should press the
other side of the switch until the light of the switch turns on and/or a
buzzer sounds.
Always make sure you raise the vehicle back to driving position!
There is a safety precaution against driving with a lowered vehicle.
When you close the back door, a button is pushed and the pressure
will be released from the cylinders. A slight ticking noise can occur
while driving if the vehicle is not raised properly.

Troubleshooting
The lowering system doesn’t need any servicing and with normal
usage, there should be no problems. If by any chance you do encounter
an issue, please contact your converter for additional information.
There are two fuses located in the vehicle for the lowering system.
One is situated under the bonnet, and the other one is behind the left
wheel arch cover on the hydraulic pump. If the lowering system is not
working, please check the fuses before contacting your dealer/converter.
