SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

1. Bolton-le-Moors Car Club Ltd will promote a National B and Clubman AutoSOLO along with a National B Autotest and Clubman
Production Car Autotest on Sunday 22nd March 2015 at Makro, Preston (MR 102/500296). For SAT NAV users the postcode is PR2
2TW.
2. The meeting will be governed by the General Regulations of the Motor Sports Association, (incorporating the provisions of the
International Sporting Code of the FIA), these Supplementary Regulations and any written instructions that the organising club may
issue for the event.
3. MSA Permits have been applied for.
4. ELIGIBILITY (All drivers must produce a valid club membership card)
The National B AutoSOLO and Autotest are open to members of clubs belonging ANWCC, ANCC, AWMMC, EMAMC and all
registered competitors of the championships listed in SR 5. A valid MSA competition licence must be shown at signing on.
The Clubman AutoSOLO is open to fully elected members of the promoting club, BTRDA, AMSC, CSMA, Knutsford DMC, Clitheroe
DMC, Under 17 MC and Formula 1000. Entry is also open to members of other clubs not listed, up to a maximum of 8 additional MSA
registered clubs on a first come basis. A competition licence is not required for the Clubman Event.
Minimum age of competitors: AutoSOLO and Autotest entries may be accepted from drivers who are 16 and over without a full RTA
licence, provided the engine capacity is less than 1600cc (1400cc for Autotest) and no forced induction. PCA entries may be accepted
from drivers who are 14 and over. For drivers not holding a full RTA licence, the passenger must hold a full RTA licence and be
experienced in Autotesting. If the driver holds a valid non-provisional RTA licence, the passenger must be 12 years or over. For all
classes the vehicle used must be by definition a “touring car”. See MSA year book for description.
5. CHAMPIONSHIPS
The National B AutoSOLO and Autotest are a round of the ANWCC Autosolo and Allrounders Championships, the
SD34 MSG Non Race/Rally Championship and the SD34 MSG Inter Club League.
The Production Car Autotest is a round of the ANWCC Junior Championship.
6. PROGRAMME
09:00 Scrutineering opens
09:15 Signing on opens (Competitors not signed on by 09.45 may be excluded. Ensure enough time to walk the tests).
09:45 Driver’s briefing
10:00 First car starts.
Event will finish at 16:00 approximate.
7. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
a) AutoSOLO cars must comply with the Road Traffic Act, the relevant MSA Technical Regulations, must be currently registered (no
trade plates), taxed, insured and where appropriate have a current MOT certificate (or vehicle registration document for cars under 3
years old). Documents must be available at scrutineering.
b) Forced induction petrol engine cars will have their capacity increased by 1.7 to give their class. Rotary engine cars will have their
cubic capacity increased by 50%. Forced induction diesel engine cars will not be subject to a capacity increase.
c) Cars must compete on road legal tyres and be driven to the event (M33). Tyres in list 1B of the 2014 MSA regulations are not
permitted (M32 (h)). List 1B is available at:

d) Unless required for disability/health reasons steering wheel knobs are NOT permitted for AutoSOLO.
e) Please make sure that your car is properly silenced to comply with J.5.17
8. CLASSES
National B AutoSOLO;
A1
Production Saloon and Sports Cars up to 13ft (3.96m) overall length and up to 1400cc with all seats and trim fitted.
A2
Production Saloon and Sports Cars up to 13ft (3.96m) overall length and over 1400cc with all seats and trim fitted.
B
Production Saloon and Sports Cars over 13ft (3.96m) overall length with all seats and trim fitted.
C
All other cars (including low volume sports cars e.g. Westfield’s and Caterham’s) and Rally prepared cars.
Clubman AutoSOLO;
D
Production Saloon and Sports Cars up to 1400cc with all seats and trim fitted.
E
Production Saloon and Sports Cars over 1401cc to 1800cc with all seats and trim fitted.

9. AWARDS: All competitors will be eligible for an award as follows:
Fastest Time of the Day
First in each class (subject to 4 starters)
Second in each class (subject to 8 starters)
Third in each class (subject to 12 starters)
No competitor shall win more than one award.
10. The entry list opens on the publication of these regulations and closes on Wednesday 18th March 2015. Entries will be
accepted in order of receipt and will be acknowledged by email unless specifically requested.
Entry fee per competitor is £30. All entries must be made on the official entry form and accompanied by the appropriate fee.

11. The maximum entry for the combined meeting (including PCA and Autotest) is 45. The minimum combined entry is 15. The minimum
entry for each class is 4. Should either of the minimum entries not be reached the organisers reserve the right to cancel the event or
amalgamate classes as necessary.

13. MARKING AND PENALTIES

14. GENERAL
 All drivers must marshal when required. Failure to do so without prior permission from the Clerk of Course/Chief Marshal will
result in a maximum score for that/those tests.
 To help prevent marshal shortages drivers who are also PCA passengers will combine their passenger and rest periods.
 All drivers will have two or more timed runs at each layout. All timed runs to count for National B. Slowest time for each layout
including penalties discarded for Clubman only.
 Test layouts will be depicted by cones, markers and pylons (some numbered). Test diagrams will be handed out after successful
signing on. Pylons/markers may be less than one metre in height (M19.5)
 Timing will be by hand held stop watches to the previous one tenth of a second.
 The starting signal will be “in your own time”. Timing will start when the leading wheels cross the timing line. Timing will stop when
the leading wheels cross the flying finish line. The car must stop astride the stop line if further penalty is not to be incurred.
 A stop signal will be displayed if there is an obstruction on the course. Competitors must stop immediately on deployment of the
signal and a re-run will be allowed. The stop signal will be demonstrated at the drivers briefing.
 In the event of a tie the fastest time from the first test will determine the tie, and then the fastest on the second test, etc. until the tie
is resolved.
 To be classified as a finisher, competitors must complete not less than half of the tests.
 Any competitor practising, driving too fast, performing handbrake turns or similar in the paddock or surrounding areas may be
excluded.
 Competition numbers will be provided and must be displayed clearly on the driver’s side of the car.
15. GENERAL REGULATIONS
The MSA General Regulations apply as written except for the following amendments:
 G10 Judges of Fact: All officials and competitors while acting as marshals will be judges of fact for the purposes stated in M8.
 D17: A vehicle may be entered three times to be driven by different drivers and no driver may drive more than one car.
16. RESULTS
Provisional results will be on display throughout the event. Final results will be published as soon as possible at the end of the event.
Awards will be presented on the day.
Any protests must be lodged in accordance with MSA regulation C5 within 30 minutes of the final results being declared provisional.
Results will be sent out by e-mail as soon as possible after the event. If you wish to receive a copy of the results by post, please include
a stamped addressed envelope.

Final instructions and entry lists will be issued during the week leading up to the event.
