PERFORMING ARTS
AWARD VALUE – Varies
These awards have been established for Holland College School of Performing Arts students who
aspire to careers in the performing arts but who face financial barriers, who show promise as aspiring
artists, or who are exceptional talents in the performing arts industry.
CRITERIA
Each award will have a minimum value of $1,000 and a maximum value of full tuition for that academic
year. These awards will be given to incoming, first-year students accepted into one of Holland College’s
School of Performing Arts programs. Successful recipients will aspire to careers in the performing arts
but face financial barriers, show promise as aspiring artists, or are exceptional talents in the performing
arts industry” Students must apply for the award. Applications are to include a completed
Application Form (including the Financial Information Section, if applicable), and a portfolio, as well as a
personal statement outlining his/her fit as a candidate. Applications will be reviewed by a selection
committee appointed by the College Registrar with representation from the School of Performing Arts.
Student must be accepted into the Performing Arts Foundation, Dance Performance, Music Performance
or Theatre Performance.
Submissions must include the following:





Completed application form, clearly identified the scholarship, bursary or award you are being
considered for;
A resume - if you don’t already have a resume, Holland College has a printable resume outline
that you can fill out;
A high school transcript – photocopies and unofficial copies are accepted;
Complete the financial information section using TOTALS for duration of my program, on the
application form;
Address anything additional that is unique to the scholarship, bursary, or award you are applying
for (i.e. leadership skills, athletic/community/volunteer involvement, future career plans etc. –
Use the “Additional Information Form” for this section;
Forward all materials to:
