Frequently Asked Questions Mustang Family Gallop 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run• April 5th • 10 am Do I need to accompany my child for the 1 Mile Fun Run? General Information Is the Mustang Family Gallop open to runners and walkers? Not necessarily. The course has been selected to provide a safe route isolated from traffic. Will the event be timed? YES! All are welcome! Come have fun! No. It is all for fun! What do you mean by “trail”? All trails are paved approximately 10 feet wide. Tell me about the 5k What time does the 5k start? How long is a 5k? 10:00 am 3.1 miles. What time does the 1 Mile Fun Run start? How long will it take for me and my family to walk a 5k? 10:30 am. There will be supervision for 1 Mile participants whose parents/siblings are running the 5k. At a brisk walk, most people can complete a 5k in about an hour. The course will remain open until all have finished. What time/where do I pick up my race number? Will the 5k be timed? Race number pickup will be from 8:30 to 9:40 am April 5th at the Montana City School. Yes. We have software to assist with timing. Results will be available at the finish. How do I register? Race day registration between 8:30 and 9:40 am. 1 Mile Fun Run Who can participate? This run is geared to provide a safe, fun distance for the younger children, but anyone is welcome to participate! The 5k race will start and finish at the Montana City School parking lot. The course will follow the Jackson Creek Trail, turn left on John Street, follow McClellan Creek trail to the top, return on McClellan Creek Trail, turn right on the Railroad Trail to finish at the Montana City School parking lot.
