About the Position
Boston 2024 Partnership is looking for a CFO who will be responsible for overseeing and directing all
financial and administrative activities, including budgeting, financial planning and reporting, operations,
and information systems. The CFO will be a key member of the executive team and report directly to
the CEO. This position is perfect for a hands-on individual with excellent strategic and operating and
management skills.
Strategic Responsibilities




Work with CEO and Executive Team to define strategic initiatives designed to promote financial
growth.
Direct and drive short and long-term planning based on objectives, initiatives, and resources,
and drive prioritization to meet strategic and financial goals.
Provide feedback to CEO and on organizational needs and future development path.
Work with CEO to secure key strategic partners and major business development opportunities
including the development and negotiation of contracts.
Financial Responsibilities






Supervise the finance unit and be the chief financial spokesperson and liaison for all
stakeholders of the company.
Prepare an annual operating budget for review and approval by the CEO.
Manage P&L/budget.
Administer the appropriate cost and service measurements (metrics, measures, controls) to
ensure the achievement of all key performance objectives that impact profitability and position
in the marketplace.
Ensure adequate cash flow to meet 2024 needs including raising capital and securing loans.
Prepare and execute in a timely manner all financial reports, and the annual tax and
government filings.

Oversee purchasing, accounting, and payroll.
Operational Responsibilities






Drive the business plan to achieve and surpass performance metrics, profitability, and business
goals and objectives.
Provide leadership to all staff while creating a supportive, team-oriented environment with a
goal of maintaining and enhancing employee morale and generating enthusiasm for Boston
2024 Partnership mission and values.
Oversee technology operations, including financial databases, hardware and software
purchases, upgrades and maintenance, staff technology training, and contracts with technology
vendors.
Manage daily operations of multiple levels of staff and evaluate the performance of staff while
providing necessary training and maximizing contributions towards established goals.
Responsible for day-to-day site operations, inventory and physical assets, and any issues
associated with running a facility.
Ensure all organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state
and federal regulations and laws governing federal, state and/or business operations.
Desired Skills and Experience








Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA highly desirable.
At least 10 years of financial and management experience.
Accountability for managing a diverse group of mid-level managers, possessing a collaborative
leadership style.
Solid organization, management, and accounting skills
Demonstrated experience in financial management with P&L responsibility. Experience in raising
capital desired.
In-depth, hands-on experience in dealing with multiple constituents and customers, including
conflict resolution, negotiations of contracts, and execution of local growth strategies.
Proven ability to drive, lead and communicate effectively in a fast-paced entrepreneurial
environment.
Strong communication, presentation and persuasion skills, both oral and written.
