The Behavioral Medicine Program at Duke University Medical Center is seeking a full‐time research assistant beginning on or around May 1, 2015 for an NIH‐funded research study investigating the use of diet and exercise to lower blood pressure in overweight patients with treatment‐resistant hypertension. Students graduating in May 2015 are still encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include patient recruitment, assisting with study assessments, data entry and management, ensuring adherence to study protocols, and general administrative support. Applicants must be self‐motivated, detail‐oriented, and have excellent organizational and communication skills. He/she will be involved in the development of the overall recruiting strategy, will work closely with the study coordinator to ensure that study aims are met, and will be responsible for the day‐to‐day administration of the study.
