Vietnam and Cambodia Expedition

Dear Parent/Guardian,
Cavendish Road State High School are excited to announce the launch of a phenomenal, Antipodeans
Abroad Expedition to Vietnam and Cambodia at the end of November, 2016.
This leadership and service focused adventure is the opportunity of a lifetime for students, and one we at
Cavendish Road State High School strongly recommend you consider for your child.
Antipodeans Abroad has over 20 years experience in overseas student travel and manages expeditions to 30
developing countries worldwide. Teams of students take part in a sustainable, hands on community project, a
challenging but rewarding team trek and travel as a team to see some of the sights of these amazing
countries.
Vietnam sights could include: Hanoi’s famous Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum;
Halong Bay, Mai Chau; the old imperial capital of Hue, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City, Reunification Palace, War
Remnants Museum, Cu Chi tunnels, the Mekong Delta, temples, museums, cooking and weaving classes.
Cambodia’s sights could include: Siem Reap, World Heritage listed Ankor Temples, Phnom Penh with it’s
turbulent Khmer history evident at the S21 Museum and the Killing Fields, temples, Russian markets, elephant
sanctuaries and night markets.
Students get to plan their own itinerary and when in country, they are challenged to make decisions, show
initiative and take responsibility for their journey as they gain a true appreciation of their host country. Your
child will experience the exhilaration of personal development and achievement, learn more about
themselves, become a ‘global citizen,’ and of course have the time of their lives!

deliver a fun, educational and rewarding experience for your child.
