Literacy and Numeracy Night
Trustee Cathy Ferlisi presents a workshop for parents of:
Blessed Scalabrini, Holy Family, Our Lady of the Rosary, St. Cecilia and
St. Joseph the Worker
Parents and Caregivers, please join us at St. Cecilia CES for an evening of interactive
and engaging conversation surrounding literacy and numeracy. The evening will provide
parents/caregivers with an opportunity to explore various learning strategies that will
support the twenty-first century learner.
The evening will provide you with:
 an overview of what numeracy and literacy looks like in today’s classroom
 an opportunity to familiarize yourself with current literacy and numeracy
practices and strategies
 examples of how literacy and numeracy can be explored everywhere - at
home, work and recreational activities
 fun and interactive ways to engage the learner
 helpful tips that will encourage learning, motivation and perseverance
