Klarna AB (¨Klarna¨), Swedish organization number 556737-0431, treats personal data with the
utmost care. The collection, processing and use of this data are done in the context of the services
offered by Klarna services. Klarna does not use personal data for advertising nor marketing
purposes, nor will it be shared with third parties.
To be able to offer its services to buyers, Klarna will perform an identity- and credit check. When
selecting one of Klarna services as a payment option, the buyer agrees to Klarna‘s processing of
their personal data for the settlement of the account purchase, and an identity and credit check
required, the following personal information: first and last name, address, birth date, gender,
email address, IP address, telephone number and the data that are required for the settlement of
the purchase, such as the number of items, article number, invoice amount and tax percentage.
According to applicable law has Klarna a legitimate interest to process the personal data of the
buyer, which is required to to gather information from credit rating agencies for the purpose of
identity- and credit check. In Germany, this will be the following credit rating agencies:

As part of the decision on the establishment, implementation or termination of the contractual
relationship, Klarna will gather and use, apart from address verification, information on payment
history of the buyer and probability values of this behavior in the future. Amongst others address
data will be used for the calculation of these values.
The transfer of data to the credit rating agencies is done in accordance with the applicable law.
Data with regard to non-conform contract payment behavior with regard to claims or contested
claims can, in accordance with the applicable law and in case of a legitimate interest, be
transferred the above agencies in accordance with § 28a BDSG. Consumers can contact the
agencies listed above for information on the personal data stored on them.
Besides the use of personal data for the purpose of the identity and credit checks, personal data
will be processed in accordance to applicable law for internal statistical and analytical purposes.
When selecting one of Klarna services as a payment option, the buyer agrees to Klarna Group
processing their personal data for the purpose of risk management and the development of
Klarna services.

Of course, users can revoke their permission for the use of personal data and request access to
the by Klarna stored personal data, which is a right according to applicable law. If consumers
wish to do so or notify changes with regard to the by Klarna stored data, they can contact Klarna

If the consumer revokes his consent to the use of personal data, Klarna will still be entitled to
process the personal data, insofar as this is necessary for the providing of the requested and/or

Used on Klarna’s websites is the "+1" button of the social network by Google Plus of Google
Inc., which operates under Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View,
California, 94043 USA, (hereinafter called "Google"). If you open a website with the "+1"
button, a link to Google's servers is made and the plugin will send information on the browser.
Through this way the information is send to the Google server, such as which of our web pages
you have visited. The "+1" button is not used to detect your visits on the Internet. Google audit
trail records when displaying a "+1" button of your browser history, and not permanently tet who
have visited a page with "+1" button also does not in any way. Google will store the information
about your visit to system maintenance and troubleshooting purposes for about two weeks. These
