The Saint Louis Brewery Position: Reports to: Revision Date: Status: Tap Room Restaurant Manager Tap Room General Manager February 13, 2015 Exempt Primary Responsibilities: Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests Accurately operate POS system Control cash and other receipts by following company cash handling and reconciliation procedures Provide excellent customer service to guests by ensuring satisfaction and handling any comments or complaints professionally and in a timely manner Ensure smooth daily restaurant operations Supervise, train, discipline, support and mentor restaurant employees Complete duties to support mid and long term restaurant operations including but not limited to scheduling, ordering supplies, organizing inventory, and maintaining the facility Have strong knowledge of all Schlafly Beer products and styles and be able to clearly and accurately communicate information about these products to both guests and employees Assist General Manager in achieving company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness Communicate clearly, concisely, and efficiently with Tap Room employees and managers and company administrators Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner Continually develop front of house staff through training, coaching, and mentoring Attend and work company activities and festivals featuring Schlafly products as needed Represent Schlafly Beer in a positive manner at all times Physical/Visual Activities or Demands: Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of the job. Moderate physical demands requiring frequent manual lifting/moving of materials weighing 5-25 lbs and occasional lifting/moving materials weighing 25-60 lbs. Most lifting and moving is done manually; a handtruck is used frequently for heaviest work. Work requires constant standing and walking, frequent bending, reaching and occasional kneeling, squatting and uncomfortable positions. Flow of work and duties require normal mental and visual attention; visual requirements include depth perception, color vision, and clarity of vision for distant (20 ft. or more) and near (less than 20 in.) work. Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: Environmental and atmospheric commonly associated with the performance of the functions of the job. conditions Kitchen environment where exposure to moisture, heat, refrigerated areas, noise, hot surfaces and ovens are frequent during the day. Position Qualification Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED certification required, college degree preferred Experience: 1 or more years’ experience working in a front of house restaurant position required, restaurant management experience preferred Skills and Abilities which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position Computer skills: Microsoft Office, cash register, POS system Demonstrated leadership ability and supervisory skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a collaborative management style. Attention to detail Basic mathematical skills Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively Ability to work efficiently under pressures and deadlines Sound decision making and trouble shooting skills Exceptional teamwork skills Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
