This notebook was created as a result of the normal functions of the Eagle
Library Local History Collection staff. The notebook was incorporated as
part of the Local History Collection in April 2006.
Note (Abstract)
This is a collection of newspaper clippings from local papers (Eagle
Valley Enterprise, Vail Daily, Vail Trail), Colorado papers (Denver Post,
Rocky Mountain News, Glenwood Springs Post Independent, Grand
Junction Daily Sentinel), and others (Los Angeles Times, LA Weekly, USA
Today) and some periodical articles that covered the Kobe Bryant sexual
assault arrest and trial.
At the beginning of each notebook section, there is a printout of the web
search for the papers done by the staff as the trial progressed.

Historical Note
Kobe Bryant was charged with third degree sexual assault on July 18,
2003, for an incident occurring at Cordillera with a 19-year-old Eagle
woman on June 30, 2003. The impact of the trial, held at the Eagle
County Courthouse, was profound for Eagle, Colorado.
Scope and Content
This collection includes Internet search results, selected newspaper
