The agenda is built around a theme and incorporates items from the previous year's evaluations; unusual patients cared for in the past year; emerging trends in the field of trauma care; and examples of best practice that will be helpful to caregivers of the trauma patient. This is our opportunity to share knowledge with other professionals, build rapport and support professional relationships, and to welcome attendees to our facility. This year the date of our symposium immediately follows the 20th anniversary of the Murrah bombing. We are taking our lead from that event and our theme is: Trauma ONE on the Frontline of Disaster Management. In addition we are incorporating knowledge and experience learned from other local disasters such as the tornados.
