Commencement
Concert
Welcome to the 18th annual Commencement Concert!
The first post-senior banquet concert took place in 1998
when the senior class president, an active participant
in music programs, wanted to perform for her parents
when they came to Pasadena for her graduation. They
lived on the East coast, and had not been able to attend
any of her concerts since she was in high school. Through
her efforts, and support from her music teachers and the
commencement planning group in the president’s
office, the Commencement Concert took shape. It
continues as an annual opportunity for graduating
seniors to perform one last time with their Caltech
musician friends, and for their families to glimpse an
important part of their undergraduate experience.
