Schwab Verkehrstechnik AG in Schaffhausen commissioned SCONRAIL with the
assessment and the EC certification of various types of railway buffers and draw
gears in accordance with the Technical Specification of Interoperability relating to
the subsystem „rolling stock - freight wagons“ of the trans-European conventional
rail system TSI CR WAGON. This examination was performed in accordance with
Module B and Module D of the TSI.

Automatic center buffer couplers and towing couplers for recovery and rescue are
examined and certified in accordance with the technical specification relating to the
„rolling-stock“ sub-system of the trans-European high-speed rail system TSI HS
RST.
SCONRAIL disposes of the respective technical experts and an efficient organisation in order to achieve a certification in a short time. The early involvement of the
certification body by the customer contributed to the reduction of the cycle time to
the minimum; time consuming iterations have been avoided.
