Newsletter 7 May 2015
P&C Executive Post
Can you believe we’re already in week 3 of Term 2. The first half of the year is flying buy. The P&C have been very
busy with many different projects including the Mother’s Day stall, co-ordinating the commencement of the hall
kitchen, working to get the online systems up and running, as well as many other projects.
Interhouse track and field days will soon be upon us. The P&C will be running a BBQ stall on Thursday, 18 June 2015
and will be looking for volunteer’s closer to the day.
The Mother’s Day stall was held on Wednesday the 6th May and with a number of volunteers. We welcomed Stewart
who spent the whole day working the stall. Having a dad selling brought a smile to the children’s faces. Again a big
thank you to all the volunteers and we wish all Mothers, Grandmothers and carers a wonderful Mother’s Day.
The school will be having a Carnival in the second half of next year and we are looking for a person to take on the role
of Carnival Co-ordinator. If you are interested in getting involved in any way with this great community fundraising
event there will be a planning meeting on Friday 15th May at 9am in the OSHC building.
Due to changes in school activities, there will be some changes around the Father’s Day stall. Father’s day is Sunday, 6
September, so the preparation day will be Friday, 21 August, with stall for grades 5-6 on Friday, 28 August and the
Preps to Grade 4 on Friday, 4 September. Please update your calendars.
The next P&C meeting will be Monday, 11th May and new members are always welcome.

Tharani Kiribalan helps out in Prep P a couple of
times per week. The kids love spending time
practising their reading and sight words with her.
Without her generous assistance every week the
Prep P children would not be the great readers they
have become! Thank you Tharani for making a
