Frequently Asked Questions
What is Lifelong Driver ?
TM
Lifelong Driver was designed to improve the
driving skills of mature drivers over the age
of 55 in order to help them maintain freedom,
mobility, and quality of life.
Lifelong Driver is a computer-based program
that is designed to keep drivers on the road
safely, for a longer period of time.
What can I expect to receive when
I order Lifelong Driver?
When you receive the Lifelong Driver program,
you will get a DVD and a workbook. The
program itself includes point-of–view driving
simulations, interactive video segments, athome activities, and optional in-car exercises.
What are the program topics?
Lifelong Driver topics include:
• An introduction familiarizing you with what is
included in the program, how to navigate the
program, and the benefits of the program.
• Seven topics that focus on the most frequent
causes of mature driver crashes along with
helpful tips for dealing with the aging process
as it relates to driving, passing drivers
licensing exams, proper vehicle adjustments,
and referrals to other resources.
• A summary of the course concepts.
• An optional certification module.
How long does the program take?
The program usually takes between six and
eight hours. This does vary depending on the
review options you choose. In order to gain
the most out of the experience, we suggest
that you complete a topic per day on as many
consecutive days as possible.
Why should I certify as a
Lifelong Driver?
You are not required to certify. However, we
encourage you to do so. Certification does
provide you with validation that you have
mastered the key concepts of the course.
The certification module is the last course
component and includes multiple-choice
questions and driving simulation exercises.
In most cases, if you are requesting a rebate,
refund, incentive, or discount of any kind, you
must certify.
How will I know that I
am certified?
A congratulatory message will appear on
your computer. Your certificate will then be
automatically emailed to you.
Are my scores sent to my insurance
company?
When you are requesting a rebate, refund,
incentive, or discount of any kind, information
that you have successfully certified is sent.
Individual scores are not provided.
What other information may be
sent to my insurance company?
You will be asked for additional information
after you have successfully certified only if you
are requesting a refund, rebate, or discount.
The information will be limited to that which is
necessary to properly apply the incentive.
