FACILITIES & SERVICES Laundry Laundry facilities are provided and managed by Circuit Managed Laundry Services. You will need to purchase a card from a Laundry Card Dispenser. Your card will be pre-loaded with credit for one wash and one dry. Laundry Card Dispensers can be located as follows: Aberdare Hall reception Cartwright Court reception North Campus reception, 130 Colum Road Senghennydd Court reception Talybont Court reception Talybont Social Centre, Talybont North University Hall Tower (ground floor corridor) To top up your card, visit: www.circuit.co.uk and follow the instructions to top up your card/create an account. You will need to register your bank card or a valid Paypal account and will be asked to choose which laundry you will be using for your time in Cardiff University residences. Make a note of this code (you will need this to activate the credit). To activate the credit and upload it to your card, visit your laundry and follow the instructions displayed at the card top-up machine. You are now ready to do your laundry. Instructions for use are displayed in each location. You will need to provide your own washing power and fabric softener. Important information Empty all pockets before loading into the washers/dryers Take care not to overload the machines Remove clothes as soon as the cycle has ended to free up machines for other users We accept no responsibility for missing items of clothing Dry clothes using the dryers provided. Drying clothes in your room can lead to damp problems and mould growth Keep the area clean and tidy at all times and dispose of rubbish in the bins provided If you no longer require items of clothing, please deposit in the YMCA Collection Bank which can be found on or near to your residence. Any items donated need to be clean and dry LaundryView Circuit's LaundryView offers the following features to save you time and avoid queues: Machine Availability. Go online and check the availability of washers and dryers in your laundry including access to an interactive website with a virtual view of the laundry from your PC. Each washer and dryer is shown as either 'available' or 'in use'. If equipment is in use the estimated remaining cycle time is displayed. Email Alert. Receive an email alert when your wash and dry cycles are complete or when a machine becomes available for use. Weekly Stats. The weekly stats section shows you (day by day) the peak times at your laundry so you can plan a visit at a time to suit you, avoiding the busiest periods.
