Revu Tutorial: Creating and Combining PDFs

Revu Tutorial: Creating and Combining PDFs
Revu offers different options for creating PDF files, as well as an option for combining existing PDF files,
so you can choose which option works best for you. Here is an overview of creating PDFs from Microsoft
Office®, AutoCAD®, SolidWorks®, Revit®, Navisworks® and other Windows applications.
Creating PDFs from Microsoft Office
Bluebeam Revu Standard, CAD and eXtreme each include a plug-in that lets you create a single PDF or
batch create multiple PDFs directly within Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
In Outlook, instead of the Batch PDF option, you can select Folders to create multiple PDF files at once.

Creating PDFs from AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, and Navisworks
Bluebeam Revu CAD and eXtreme also include plug-ins for AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, and
Navisworks users.

Revit
Navisworks
These plug-ins provide extra functionality including one-button PDFs, custom PDFs, batch PDF creation
(AutoCAD and SolidWorks plug-ins only) and 3D PDFs (Revit and Navisworks plug-ins only).
It is recommended that you create PDFs using the Bluebeam plug-in within each CAD application to keep
the fidelity of the file intact. Users who operate CAD software other than AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit,
and Navisworks should use Revu Standard and create PDFs using the Bluebeam PDF printer. This
includes AutoCAD LT.
Note: For further information on how to use the plug-ins, please refer to the AutoCAD and Revit plug-in
tutorials.

Creating PDFs from other Windows or CAD files

its native application, click File, then Print, and select Bluebeam PDF from your list of Printer options.
The Bluebeam PDF printer can create PDFs or any of the nine other file formats Bluebeam supports (e.g.,
TIFFs, JPEGs, GIFs). Simply select the type of file you prefer from the Save As Type drop-down menu in
