GRADUATES RECOGNITION DAY!
BIBLE STUDY:
Noon and 7:00 p.m. Bible Study will resume,
Wednesday, July 1st through the month; then be off for the month of
August and resume Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Pastoral Office.
MEN’S FELLOWSHIP MINISTRY: Men please mark your calendars for
the 2015 Men’s Fellowship Ministry Summer weekend activities. To RSVP
for either or all of these activities, or for more information, please contact
Deacon Stephen Francis at (614) 371-1148. Brother Troy Glover, Men’s
Fellowship Ministry Servant Leader.
• BOWLING: Friday, July 24, 2015, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Eastland
Lanes, 3770 Refugee Road, Columbus, OH 43232 (Cost - $6 per
person / includes 2 hours of bowling, shoes, pizza and pop).
• GOLF: Saturday, July 25, 2015, Minerva Lake Golf Course, 2955
Minerva Lake Road, Columbus, OH 43231 (10 holes - Cost $13 to
walk / $19 with cart). Please arrive at the course at 8:30 a.m.)
• COOKOUT: Saturday, July 25, 2015, 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Nelson
Park Shelter, Nelson Road and Greenway Avenue (Same location as
last year) – NO COST.
2015 SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE: The children in this community need
your help! We are asking for your support in supplying necessary school
supplies to help with the education of our young children. Supplies will be
distributed August 1, 2015 from 9 a.m. - Noon. A list of requested items
and a box for your donations are located in the Troy Wing near the
elevator. As always, we greatly appreciate your generosity and kindly
thank you for your donations. Deaconess Sherlyn McCoy and Sister

2015 UNCF WALK/RUN: Mark your calendars! The 2015 UNCF
Walk/Run for Education will take place Saturday, August 15, 2015 at
8:00 a.m. at Wolfe Park. For the third year, our Second Baptist Team will
honor the memory of Sister Gradella Barton a champion for the education
of youth and young adults! Please see Carol Ware for registration details
to participate in the walk!
CONDOLENCES:
• The Officers, Leaders and members of the Second Baptist Church
family express our sincere sympathy to Dr. Howard and Minister
Floria Washington at the passing of his aunt, Sister Thelma Jones
whose service was held Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Lexington, KY.
Please continue to pray for Pastor Washington and his family.
• Pastor Washington, Minister Washington and the Second Baptist
Church family express our deepest sympathy to Pastor Emeritus
Leon Troy and Mrs. Berneice Troy at the passing of her sister, Sister
Betty Huntley Johnson whose service is being held Wednesday, July
1st at Shiloh Baptist Church in Washington, DC. Please keep the
Troy family in your prayers.
APPRECIATION:
Pastor Washington, Minister Washington and the Second Baptist Church
family. Maybe you said a prayer, made a visit, sent flowers, a card or
made a call; whatever you did I thank you for being a part of my recovery.
I am still on the mend, but the road is not as long as it has been. Special
thanks to Deborah and Rosby Lee, Lucille and Raymond Tillery, Cheryl
and Chet Christie, Carolyn and Stephen Francis and Carla and Doug
Bailey for the meals they provided to us during my first two weeks back
