Part-time Youth Pastor Job Description: Shiloh Baptist Church in King George, Virginia is seeking an individual to join our ministry team. We are seeking a passionate Christian, with a heart to reach the youth of our congregation and community. The ideal candidate would have a calling to long-term youth ministries as well as the desire to serve the entire congregation as needed. Shiloh Baptist Church believes in glorifying and worshiping the Lord through love, discipleship, and service to others. Our mission is to: Reach people for Christ, Building each other up into Christ-like maturity, and Serving Christ with our time, talents, and resources. The primary goal of the Youth Pastor is to nurture and continue to develop a biblical background centered on Christ to establish a firm foundation of faith. The Youth Pastor will work with the Pastor and Youth Council, other church leaders, and parents to develop and lead an effective, vibrant, and growing youth ministry program. Qualifications:  Heart, passion and calling for Youth  Degree in Bible and/or Youth Ministry is preferred  2 Years of Youth Leadership Experience in ministry and/or Youth ministry  Effective communication skills with both youth and adults  Ability to recruit, train, lead, motivate and schedule volunteers  Self-motivated  Agreement with church doctrine Responsibilities:  Develop, organize and supervise all Youth educational programs o Mid-week Bible Study o Sunday School (partnering with SS team) o Etc.  Plan and execute special programs throughout the year o Seasonal activities o Mission activities o Retreats o Seminars o Recreation o Dramas o Etc.  Work cooperatively with staff and volunteers to coordinate and plan our church calendar  Work with the church staff and lay leadership in budget planning, communication, and space allocation  Responsible for coordinating with the Youth and other leaders in Ministry to ensure maintenance of proper safety and security measures within the Youth Ministry programs  Provide Youth counseling Contact Information: Shiloh Baptist Church 13457 Kings Highway King George, VA 22485 540-775-4646 www.kgshiloh.org [email protected]
