Meeting Notice For Tuesday, April 21, 2015
Dear Chapter Members and Guests:
Meeting Topic: The latest in smoke detectors and what to know about
Entergy’s security lighting program
Tim Whipple, Regional Sales Manager for Kidde Safety, will present the latest in
smoke detectors including smoke alarm interconnect-ability, carbon monoxide
facts and Louisiana legislation. The presentation is 45 minutes long with Q&A.
The 2nd presentation is by Joni Bathel, Entergy’s Lighting Coordinator. Joni
will present information on Entergy’s lighting program. This presentation will last
approximately 15 minutes.
The meeting location is the Entergy Auditorium, 4809 Jefferson Hwy (off St.
George Ave.) The meeting will begin at 7:30 PM sharp and end approximately
9:30 PM. Coffee is available before and during each meeting by Entergy. Dinner
is being provided by Bill Brusseau of Primex Power. The meal includes a pulled
pork sandwich, baked beans, macaroni and cheese and cole slaw. You can grab a
plate and eat while you learn.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Electric Industry museum items which were kept by Frank Prattini need a
new home. During Frank’s lifetime of work he saved a full shipping container of
artifacts. With Frank’s death the container of items has been left without an
owner/sponsor. If you are interested or know of an organization which would like
to have these historical electrical items, please let Patricia know and we’ll put you
in touch with Frank’s son.

The IAEI will meet 4 times for the season, every other month on the third Tuesday
of the month. Forward this notice to your guests. Meeting notices can also be

meeting notice faxed.
Suppliers please post meeting notices for your customers. Contact Patricia Smith or
John Panepinto to arrange to receive hard copy meeting notices. Please invite others
to become a member. A membership form can be downloaded from:
www.selaiaei.com. With membership, you have to access to training and the IAEI
magazine and online access to code information. We will also have applications at
the meeting.

This will be our last meeting for the 2014-2015 year. Meetings will start back up
