PUBLIC TRANSPORT FROM THE HOTELS TO COSMOCAIXA
1) NH Podium, C/ Bailén, 4-6
Walk from the Hotel to Arc de Triomf Train Station.
Take the RENFE train R1, direction to Molins del Rei at Arc de Triomf station and get off
at the 1st stop at Plaça Catalunya.
OR: Take the RENFE train R3, direction to L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, at Arc de Triomf
station and get off at the 1st stop at Plaça Catalunya.
OR: Take the RENFE train R4, direction to St. Vinçens de Calders, at Arc de Triomf
station and get off at the 1st stop at Plaça Catalunya.
OR: Take the RENFE train R7, direction to L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, at Arc de Triomf

HOW TO GET TO COSMOCAIXA
When arriving at final station of L7 Av. Tibidabo, please leave the Train Station and walk to
Cosmocaixa.
One option is to take the Avinguda del Tibidabo at the right-hand side and then enter Carrer
dels Quatre Camins. You access the building from the lower part as shown in the
subsequent page of this document.
Another option is to take the Carrer del Cister at the left-hand side and enter Carrer dels
Quatre Camins. You access the building from the lower part as shown in the subsequent

FAQs
Q: What if my hotel is not mentioned in this document or if I want to go to
Cosmocaixa from any other place?
A: Please check the options of arriving via the public transport system at the website of
TMB: http://www.tmb.cat/vullanar/en_US/vullanar.jsp
As address of origin please enter the one of your hotel or location, and indicate as
destination address “Isaac Newton”; number: 26. Just confirm the day and time you
would like to plan your trip and the information will be provided immediately.
Usually you will be provided with several options and different combinations of busses,
trains and/or metro lines. The approximate time of the trip is indicated behind each
option so you have an idea when to leave the hotel.
A general advice you should try to arrive at Plaça Catalunya. From there just take the
FGC train L7, direction to Av. Tibidabo, and get off after 6 stops at the final station Av.
Tibidabo. Then please follow the directions of the chapter “How to get to Cosmocaixa”.
Q: Which ticket should I purchase if I want to use the public transport?
A: A good option is a “T-10” ticket which allows you to make 10
one-way trips by bus, metro, RENFE trains, FGC trains and
Tram. For arriving from Barcelona city a “Zone 1” ticket is
sufficient, which has a cost of currently 8,25 !.
If you plan to visit other places of interest in the city, a 3-day
ticket may also be a good option for you. You can use it for
an unlimited number of travels by bus, metro, RENFE trains,
FGC trains and Tram during 3 days in “Zone 1”. The cost is
currently 16,50 ! .

Q: Where can I buy a ticket for the public transport?
A: We recommend you to buy one of the mentioned tickets at any metro station.
The 3-day tickets can be bought only at information desks.
T-10 tickets can be bought at ticket machines (they accept credit cards and cash),
information desks and newspaper kiosks.
Please note that in buses you can only purchase tickets for one-way trips when entering.
They have a cost of currently 1,45 !.

Q: Can I use my ticket for all means of transportation?
A: Tickets bought in the metro or at information desks, whether single, T-10 or for a
complete day(s) always enable you to use any of the transport means indicated at the
front within the according zone:

Please note that a ticket bought in the bus cannot be used in the metro.
Q: How long can a trip in a single direction last with one ticket?
A: Zone 1 tickets allow you to take a single trip of no longer than 1 hour and 15 minutes.
