Adding a fixed CCD, Digital PTZ CMOS and Fixed Dome Camera Fixed Dome Network Cameras Fixed Indoor Cameras (CCD, Digital PTZ, Infrared and Wireless) Be sure to have the latest firmware version on your camera installed. You need to know the following: a) IP address (or web address) of your camera b) The Image Transfer Port that your camera is set to That information can be obtained from the camera’s network configuration page. See previous chapter. All of these cameras support two kinds of video streams: Motion-JPEG (M-JPEG) and MPEG4. You can choose the format you wish to use with Digifort. MPEG4 is the preferred method as it provides higher image frame rates at a much lower bandwidth utilization. You can define the video output stream type in the system settings of the camera. See below: http://www.networkipcamera.com INTELLINET NETWORK SOLUTIONS Network Cameras - How To VIEW In Digifort First example: Digital PTZ Camera 550468, MPEG4 Streaming Select the Camera Model “Intellinet INT-550468”. Enter the Camera Address, the web port (standard 80), and also ADMIN USERNAME AND PASSWORD (important!). http://www.networkipcamera.com INTELLINET NETWORK SOLUTIONS Network Cameras - How To VIEW In Digifort Click on the “media profiles” tab. You must select MPEG-4. Click on “Preview” to check the live image. Click OK when done. Repeat the procedure for the recording profile. http://www.networkipcamera.com INTELLINET NETWORK SOLUTIONS Network Cameras - How To VIEW In Digifort The next step is to activate the camera …. … and assign it to a view: http://www.networkipcamera.com INTELLINET NETWORK SOLUTIONS Network Cameras - How To VIEW In Digifort If you set your network camera to M-JPEG streaming, e.g., to remain compatible to web browser access with Firefox or any Java compatible web browser, the procedure is very similar, yet there are some differences. In this example, we’ll add an IR Night Vision CCD Camera, model 550314 that is set to Motion-JPEG mode. Add a new camera to Digifort. Select the Camera Model “Intellinet INT-550314”. Afteer that, click on the recording tab. Enter the Camera Address, the web port (standard 80), and also ADMIN USERNAME AND PASSWORD (important!). http://www.networkipcamera.com INTELLINET NETWORK SOLUTIONS Network Cameras - How To VIEW In Digifort - Verify the video compression. It must be set to “Motion JPEG”. Adjust the frame rate and click on the preview button to check the live image. Click OK when done. Repeat the procedure for the recording profile. http://www.networkipcamera.com INTELLINET NETWORK SOLUTIONS Network Cameras - How To VIEW In Digifort The next step is to add the camera to the view, just as before. When all done, it will look like this: 3. Final Comments Technical support for the Digifort software is provided exclusively by the company Logiware. If you are having difficulties adding your INTELLINET NETWORK SOLUTIONS camera to this software, please always make sure that you can access the camera with your web browser without any problems. Furthermore please check and make sure that the web server port and image transfer port are entered correctly. Please also note, that the display performance (image frame rate) of your INTELLINET camera can be significantly lower when viewed with this software compared to the web browser access method. A demo version of this software is provided by the software vendor which shall be used to evaluate the performance before a purchase of the software is being made.
