HOW TO CREATE YOUR KORCETT ACCOUNT ACCOUNT SETUP HELP! If you are having a problem setting up your account please call the Korcett Support Team at 1-800-379-3729. Our awesome Support Team can help you troubleshoot. Your apartment’s front desk/property management staff will not be able to Troubleshoot for you. You are guaranteed to be speaking to a Korcett Support Guru in 3 minutes or less! All residents are required to create an account before using the internet. This account will allow you to manage the devices that can access the internet while keeping you connected to the property network. How to Setup Your Account Connect your computer directly to the wall or your wireless with the SSID “your property’s name-WiFi” and then open your web browser. You will be directed to the Welcome Page. Click on “Click Here to Read the AUP”. Read the Acceptable User Policy. Then acknowledge the AUP by clicking “I agree”. You will then be routed to a Login Page. Click the “New Account” button to create your account. Enter the required information and hit “Save”. See – super easy! “Remember, any device you want to have access to the Internet will need to be added to your account via MAC address.” – Korcett Support Team ADVICE FROM KORCETT The Korcett Team is aware of issues during the move in season, usually a result of thousands of new devices being added to the network in a short period of time. Our goal is to set expectations for our residents and property staff during this time period. Please be patient and understanding as these new devices are being added, and please contact Support with any troubleshooting needs that arise. TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS (I can’t access the internet or Welcome page to set up my account!) Clear Cookies/Cache and restart the browser. Check if you have a proxy configured Verify that you don’t have a static IP/DNS configuration See if you can connect using a different computer, cable, or wall jack If you are using a router, try connecting directly with the wall instead If you are using wireless, make sure you are connected to the right network If you aren’t using wireless, disable your router (For additional information about these Troubleshooting Tips, please see the attached Troubleshooting Guide) KORCETT iOS iGuide HOW TO CONNECT YOUR IOS DEVICES TO A WI-FI NETWORK Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network 1. Tap Settings/Wi-Fi 2. Ensure the Wi-Fi interface is turned on 3. Once Wi-Fi is on, it will automatically search of the available networks to connect to 4. Tap the name of the Network you would like to join 5. If a password is needed to connect to the Wi-Fi network you will enter it now 6. Once connected to the Wi-Fi a checkmark will be placed next to the network selected and you will be able to view the strength of the network. What is an iOS Device? An iOS Device is an Apple product that when connected to a Wi-Fi network can access the Internet. Examples of iOS Devices are iPads, iPhones, and iPod Touches Remember - If you experience an issue or problem while trying to connect your iOS Device to a wireless network, please call the KORCETT Support Desk at 1-800-379-3729 ACCOUNT SETUP TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE HOW TO CHECK YOUR TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS: Other Devices (Routers, Gaming Systems, Tablets…) If your device has a web browser, you can follow the steps outlined in the Account Setup Section and login to your existing account. The new device will automatically be added to your account when you login. If your device does not have a web browser, you can add the device by logging into http://kmc.korcett.com and adding the MAC address of the device to your account. (If you aren’t sure of where to find the MAC address, please contact the manufacturer.) Clearing Cookies/Cache While in your web browser… ● Internet Explorer: Ctrl+Shift+Delete ● Google Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+Delete and click “Clear Browsing Data” ● Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+Delete ● Safari (Mac OS): Cmd+Option+E Checking for a Proxy Windows: ● ● ● ● Windows Key+R Type inetcpt.cpl and press Enter Go to the Connections tab and click LAN settings The only box that should be checked is “Automatically Detect Settings” Mac OS X: ● Shift+Cmd+K ● Select your connected adapter on the left and click “Advanced” ● Select the “Proxy” tab and sure none of the boxes are checked Checking Static IP/DNS Windows: ● Windows Key+R ● Type inetcpt.cpl and press Enter ● Right Click on the connection that you are using and select “Properties” ● Left Click on “Internal Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and click on the “Properties” button ● The options for obtain automatically should be selected for IP address and DNS server Mac OS X: ● Press Shift+Cmd+K ● Select your connected adapter on the left ● Ensure “Using DHCP” is selected REMEMBER YOU CAN ALWAYS CALL THE 24/7 KORCETT SUPPORT TEAM AT 1-800-379-3729 IF YOU CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE ISSUES!
