How to Logon to The SIMS Learning Gateway (SLG) - A Parent’s Guide

Open your web browser and go to https://hslg10.capita-cso.co.uk/
In the Username box, enter
your username as shown on
the logon letter sent to you
from the school – It will be in
the format of: PET.MrJSmith
In the Password box, enter
the password as shown on
the logon letter sent to you
from the school. If this is
your first time logging in you
will need to create a new
password on the next
screen. See below.
Click ‘Log On’

It is your responsibility to ensure that your username and password are kept private.
Whilst the software has been designed to prevent access to highly personal student
information, access to the site must be restricted.

When setting a new password it must meet complexity requirements and the following are
the minimum requirements. This ensures that your account is kept completely secure –
o Your password must not contain your username or parts of your username that
exceed two consecutive characters.
o It must be at least six characters in length.
o It must contain at least one upper and lowercase letter and one number.
o The maximum age a password can be is 180 days. You will be forced to change
your password every 180 days. 3 previous passwords are remembered which
means that you cannot use the previous 3 passwords when changing.
