Step By Step Guide to Application
While the site has been designed to ensure you can navigate your way easily through the application
process, these notes may help if you would prefer a visual guide to each element of the process. It
covers:
Within the site, you can also browse the application guidance information at any time.
The roles are featured on the Apply for the Role section. It is important that you apply for the correct
role so please double check the role title as appropriate.
When you view the details of the role, the page below gives you summary information about the
role, the key responsibilities and competencies required, the recruitment timetable etc.
If you are interested in applying for the role and wish to access the application form, then proceed to
the privacy policy, check the box confirming you have read and understood it and then ‘Continue to
full details’.
You will first be shown a screen summarising all of the key information. Please ensure you have read
all the information before you begin the application to ensure you understand the process and
eligibility criteria.
Registering and Creating an Account
To access Stage 1 of the application, if you have not already created an account, do so now by
clicking ‘Register a New Account’. Your account will be used throughout the process and setting it
up will save time later on. We ask you to set up an account as it is the most secure way of holding
your personal information and ensuring that you will not have to email any personal data at any
time. Choose a username and password and ensure that you remember it. Communication
throughout the process will be via notifications in your account. You will be sent emails alerting
you to new notifications but you will need to login to your account to access the message. Again,
this is to protect your privacy.
Click on ‘Create my Account’ to the right of the screen on any page
This will take you into the
system that manages all of
your information PublicNetworks, which is wholly
developed and managed by
GatenbySanderson. Complete
the details required
(forename, surname, email
address, username and
password).
If whilst trying to register,
you see a note onscreen to
say your email is already
registered, then you have
probably previously
registered with
GatenbySanderson. You
can ask for a password
reminder and a reset link
will be emailed to you.
Please call the helpline on
0113 205 6090 if you
cannot remember your username.
If you have previously set up an account then click ‘Log in
to an existing account’ using the username and password
you selected. You will see that you are now logged in and
the system recognises you. If you have forgotten your
password, then the system will provide a reminder to the
email address you provided. Remember to check your
Junk/Spam box if this does not arrive.
When you are logged in, click ‘Apply Now’ and you will be
taken to the online eligibility form, which you should complete. Once complete, click ‘Continue’.
The next screen will show the personal details you supplied when you created your account. Check
these are correct. The system will also ask where you saw the role advertised.
Click ‘Continue’ and you will finally be asked to complete the equal opportunities form (this is not
mandatory but we would encourage you to complete to help us better monitor diversity). Your
answers are not recorded against your name and are used for group statistics only. You have now
completed the application.
You will see a confirmation screen acknowledging your application. Please note, that you can only
submit an application once and cannot go back to amend your application.
You will also receive an email to the email address you provided, confirming receipt of your
application.
If you do not receive an email, check your Junk folder and consider adding the email address to your
safe senders list:
If you experience any problems, then call the GDC FtP Panel member helpline on 0113 205 6090 or
