I’ve loved being in front of the camera since I was a child and dreamed of becoming a model. Then when I was 14, my mother took me to New York to see some agencies and the rest, as they say, is history. What was your first big break in the industry? Starring in V magazine’s Curves Ahead editorial in 2010 got people looking at me in a different way. Soon after, I did a shoot for Italian Vogue and they put me on the cover. This was the catalyst, I think. Since then, I’ve also been in American Vogue and great things keep happening. I consider myself very lucky. Of all the dresses you’ve modelled today, which is your favourite? I love the navy navabi collection blue curve hugging pencil skirted dress with an off the shoulder décolleté detail and gorgeous gold zipper up the back. It is chic but truly makes you feel and exude sexiness. How would you describe your personal style? I love to try all styles and trends but my default look is kind of rock chick chic. I try to add an edgy twist to any outfit, which has become something of a signature. Do you have any wardrobe staples? Skinny jeans, great blazers and lots of shoes. Dream holiday destination? That desert island we talked about before sounds pretty good. Your favourite styling tip? Don’t take fashion too seriously. Love your clothes and enjoy them. Try new things and rock it. What are you loving this season? I’m looking forward to wearing a lot of prints and bright, easy pieces. I’m in love with this season’s dresses. We’re spoiled for choice at navabi this season. Five things you would carry to a desert island? My husband, my camera, great music, moisturiser (with SPF), and a genie who will grant me five more wishes when those run out. Packing light is not my forte… Which five words would your friends use to describe you? Sassy, passionate, fun, creative and kind. ‘ Don’t take fashion too seriously. Love your clothes and enjoy them.
