HOW‐TO Install Toyota EPC3 2008.11.01 Applicable torrent: Toyota EPC3 Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) 2008.11 Complete After downloading the program use Alcohol 120% to mount the compressed ISO‐files (.isz) or to burn the 29 (!) discs. Start with mounting 20071220P1.isz. Open the folder Program. Browse the CD and you'll see a folder named Manual. Here's a PDF manual for installing and operating the program. This How‐to provides some extra info. Install the program. After installing the program open the shortcut Toyota EPC System Go to Setup Menu And click data configuration First put in the sales area code: 99999 for anywhere. To copy the contents of the CD's to your HDD setup the CD's for the areas like I did. First is for the images and data of the parts. 1 2 3 4 Click on an area, for instance "Europe", For "Data" select Harddisk to copy the data to your HDD, or select CD‐ROM if you want to change CD‐ROMs all the time. Select for "The Source of the Copy" your (virtual) CD‐Rom player. Select for "Output" your HDD, if you've selected CD‐ROM for data, you obviously can't select an output Hit execute before changing areas but after setting up all the CD's for one area. For Europe there are 4 CD's, General has 5, USA & Canada have 3 and Japan has 6 CD's. So for Europe you set up 4 Rec No.'s, for General 5 Rec no.'s etc. Next is setting up the Frame no. data, this allows you to search your car with your VIN or Frame no. Here there are two areas: Overseas and Japan. Overseas is for Europe, General and USA & Canada. Japan is for Japan, duh... It works the same as for the other CD's: 1 Click on an area, for instance "Overseas", 2 For "Data" select Harddisk to copy the data to your HDD, or select CD‐ROM if you want to change CD‐ROMs all the time. 3 Select for "The Source of the Copy" your (virtual) CD‐ROM player. 4 Select for "Output" your HDD, if you've selected CD‐ROM for data you obviously can't select an output Hit execute before changing areas but after setting up all the CD's for one area. For Overseas there are 6 CD's, for Japan there are 3. Finally set up J‐PIO, I don't know what this exactly is but I've installed it anyway. There's only one CD here: 1 For "Data" select Harddisk to copy the data to your HDD, or select CD‐ROM if you want to change CD‐ROMs all the time. 2 Select for "The Source of the Copy" your (virtual) CD‐ROM player. 3 Select for "Output" your HDD, if you've selected CD‐ROM for data you obviously can't select an output. Execute. Click Menu (F2) or ESC and go to the Data setup Here you see all the CD's you've setup before. Now it's time to copy the data to your HDD. Select all the Rec no.'s by clicking on them. You can select all the CD's you want to install, also for other areas. After you've selected all area's click Exec and you'll be prompted to insert the appropriate CD. Mount the (virtual) CD and press OK for all areas and Rec no.'s. This might take a while. I've installed all the areas except General, this used 11 GB of my hard disk, so make sure you've got enough space available. I don't have a Lexus dealer code; if I do I'll post it. You can't search for Lexus vehicles unless you have the password. In the main menu press F9 or click "Area/Language Setup". Here you choose the area you want to search for your vehicle. Click execute after selecting the area. Click "TMC Part number Translation" to search for your vehicle. See Operation manual for more details. Note: Europe and USA vehicles are searched by entering a VIN/VDS, Japanese vehicles by entering a Frame number. Have fun using the EPC! Thanks to the people who put the EPC online!
