How To Request An RSA SecurID Token And Enable It For VPN Access.
NOTE: You must be connected to Benchmark’s internal network in order to request or enable your token.
Section 1 – Requesting a new token
Click the following link, or copy and paste it into your browser’s address bar and press Enter.

You should see a page similar to the screenshot below.
Click on the “Request a new account and SecurID token” link.
Select your location from the “Security Domain:” drop-down menu, then check the box next to “I already have a User ID
and password”. Enter your User ID and password. This is the username that you use to logon to your computer,
normally the first 5 characters of your last name + first initial. Click Next.
On the next page you will see some details about your account. Click Next.
As part of the Sign Up process, you will be asked to answer 2 security questions. Please choose memorable questions
and answers. These questions may be asked when you visit this page in the future. Choose 2 questions, provide
answers, and then click Next.
The Token Type is automatically selected for you. Fill in the reason for your request then click Next.
The next screen provides an overview of your request. Click Submit Your Request to complete the process.
A confirmation message will be displayed indicating that your request was successfully submitted. You will also receive
an email confirming that your request has been submitted. Click OK to return to the Self-Service Console Home page.
At this point your request will be reviewed to make sure that all paperwork has been
submitted and necessary approvals have been given.
Section 2 – Enabling your token
When your request has been approved, you will receive an email notification – save this email. At this point you should
contact your local IT manager who will provide your assigned token.
Your New or Additional Hardware Token request is approved.

The approval email contains a link that you will use to enable your token. It will also contain an enablement code. Click
on the first link in your confirmation email to begin the process of enabling your token.
Enter your user ID, enablement code from the approval email, and token serial number. The token serial number can be
found on the back of the token. The serial number is etched into the token along with an expiration date. The serial
number may also be on a barcode label. Click OK to continue.
Click OK to return to the Self-Service Console Home page (you may need to Log On again). Your home page should now
show that you have an assigned token.
You must now create a PIN to be used with your token. Click the “Create PIN” link.
Enter your desired PIN in both boxes and then click Save. Your PIN must be between 4 and 8 characters long.
After you have created your PIN, you can click the “Test your token” link to verify that everything works correctly.
Enter your user ID and your passcode and then click Test. Your passcode is your PIN + the 6-digit sequence on your
token.
Congratulations, you should now be able to use your token to authenticate when establishing a VPN connection.
