How to join HESTA as an employer
There are many good reasons to become a HESTA employer. You may be joining HESTA because:
• You want to be part of the leading fund for Australian health and community services
• You want to make HESTA the default fund for your workplace
• Your new employee is already a HESTA member and wants to stay with HESTA.
Joining is easy, quick and free through Employer Online. Just visit hesta.com.au/eol and follow the steps below.
Step 1: Enter your contact details and confirm you wish to register

Before you begin, you’ll need to decide who in
your organisation will be the primary contact
for employee super processing.
Enter your primary contact’s details, confirm
you wish to register as a HESTA employer, and
click Begin Application.
Step 2: Enter your business details
Enter your Australian Business Number (ABN)
to retrieve your business details from the ABN
register. This will automatically complete some
of the other fields on this page for you.
Then complete your business type and contact
details.

Step 3: Enter your payroll details
Select your employee super pay requirements,
including pay frequency and initial pay period.
Then choose your payroll system from the
dropdown menu. This will set up your account
to enable easy, straight-through processing of
your employee super payments.
Step 4: Confirm your application
Here’s where you can review and amend any
of the details you’ve already completed.
Read the Terms and Conditions, then accept
the Declaration.
Then simply click Submit Application.
Step 5: You’re registered!
If there are no problems with your application,
you’ll see an Application Received message.
Your new HESTA Employer Identification (ID)
number will be confirmed by email within
one business day of processing.
If we need more information or find a duplicate
account under your business name, we’ll contact
you to complete your application over the phone.
