Family bonds are where our roots take hold and from there we grow. We are part of a family unit that prepares us for what we will experience in the world and how we react to those experiences. Values are taught and we carry them with us throughout our life. As you read the description above, are you thinking about your kin family or perhaps it could also be our Rotary Family? Our inner wheel (spouses, children, parents, etc) are our first place we learn about relationship with others. As we grow we realize that people we work with and spend our time with are part of a larger family also. Cary MacGregor Rotary Club is a wonderful family! As Rotarians, we also have a worldwide family that allows us to build friendships across geographic boundaries, religions and the many personal differences we have. Where would you be without the support the Rotary family has given you when you needed a friend? Our Rotary motto “Service above Self” is a strong family believe that we should try and follow throughout our life with all of our “families.” Save The Date Make plans now to attend the District 7710 Rotary Conference 2011 in Asheville this spring. Mark your calendar for April 29 - May 1, 2011 and join scores of other Rotarians and their families for a fun-filled weekend during one of the most beautiful times of the year in the NC mountains. Watch your mailbox early next year for a registration form and visit the club website for more information about the conference. Bookmark the location and check it often for updated program and registration information. We look forward to seeing you in Asheville.
