HOW TO REACH
The venue for the symposium, the Conference Center is located on the North Campus of the
University of Delhi. The university is located in North Delhi close to Kamlanagar and Kingsway
Camp.

 Airport, Domestic terminal : 30 km.
 New Delhi Railway station : 10 km.
 Delhi (old Delhi) Railway station : 05 km.
 Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway station : 15 km.
 Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) : 03 km.
 Anand Vihar: 14 km.
Airport to Delhi University North Campus:
A prepaid taxi is the cheapest option to reach any of the guest house/hostels or the University from
the airport. The Prepaid taxi booth is located both inside and outside the airport premises. Other
private metered taxi companies (Meru Cabs and Mega Cabs) are also available on exiting the
airport building.
If arriving at Terminal 3, one can also travel by the Special Airport Line of the Delhi Metro. One
will have to change trains at the New Delhi metro station and take the south-bound train to
Vishwavidyalaya.
Railway station to Delhi University North Campus
The best way to reach the University from New Delhi railway station is to take the metro train on
the Yellow Line towards Jehangir Puri and get off on the Vishwavidyalaya station (Vishwavidyalaya
means University). A number of prepaid autos and taxis are also available.
From Old Delhi Railway station one is advised to go to the Chandni Chowk metro station, located
just outside the railway station and take the train to Vishwavidyalaya. Alternately one could also
hire a pre-paid taxi or a pre-paid auto.
From Hazarat Nizamuddin Railway Station, it is best to hire a prepaid taxi or a prepaid auto from
the prepaid booth located outside (exit to Sarai Kale Khan or platform 7 side of the railway station)
by paying the nominal amount fixed by the government (based on distance) and proceed to the
University of Delhi. It takes about 45 minutes.
From Anand Vihar railway station one can take an auto rickshaw or the Blue line metro towards
Dwarka and change the metro to the Yellow Line at Rajiv Chowk station and then take the metro
train towards Vishwavidyalaya.
From ISBT Kashmere Gate take an auto rickshaw or the Yellow Line metro train at Kashemere
Gate station towards Vishwavidyalaya.
The International Guest House, University Guest House and Gwyer Hall is located on the university
campus and is within walking distance to the Conference Center.
The Rajiv Gandhi Girls hostel, is located about 1.5 km from the university campus in Dhakka
Complex, near GTB nagar. If coming via the metro, one will have to de-board the metro at the
GTB nagar metro station and exit the station via gate no 1 or 2, then take an auto to the hostel which
should take not more than 10 minutes.
The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) guest house is located at Bahadur Shah Zafar
Marg, about 8kms from the university, 24kms from the international airport 19kms from the
domestic airport, 5kms from Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station and 4kms from Old Delhi and New
Delhi railways station.
The best way to reach the INSA guest house would be to take the auto rickshaw. The following link
