How to progress through your qualification

E-Assessments
Before you begin, you need to decide which area you are going to specialise in. There are three
typical combinations, known as the “General Practice”, “Corporate Specialist” and “Personal
Specialist”. See our website for more details.
The CTA exams are modular and you can take them in any order, but we recommend that you
attempt the Ethics and Law E-Assessments first, then you take Awareness and one of your
Advisory papers at one sitting, and the remaining Advisory paper and the Application and
Interaction paper at the next sitting.

Rehearse – Final Mock Exam
We ensure you do not waste a minute of study time. Our
expert tutors will guide you through the syllabus knowledge in
our market leading course notes, making it as easy to
understand as possible through the use of real life examples.
Key topics and techniques are illustrated through interactive
examples and our tutors will be happy to answer any
questions you have as you go along.
Passing exams is all about successfully applying what you know.
Through the use of handpicked past paper questions, our expert
tutors will help you to develop your exam technique. The full
range of exam skills will be covered – from understanding
exactly what the examiner wants, to planning your answers and
presenting them in a way that gets the most marks, all whilst
managing your time.
All our Revision courses include a Final Mock Exam within the
price (this includes marking). This Final Mock Exam is
designed to replicate as closely as possible the real exam
content and standard. Replicate the real exam experience with
time pressure and get your exam marked, to finish your
preparation.
This includes an early introduction to how topics are
examined and therefore how to build this into your studies.
• Two course exams can be submitted for marking and feedback as the course progresses.
• Comprehensive guidance on exactly what to study in between lessons.
• Full access to a range of pre-recorded lectures, so you can revisit any tricky topics or refresh key brought forward knowledge.
Key syllabus topics are recapped in a very efficient way, and
priorities for the exam clearly identified. Our revision notes
summarise all the syllabus knowledge you need to comfortably
pass the exam, and our Practice and Revision Kit includes all
questions and answers from the current syllabus. Full access to
a suite of online walkthroughs of key past paper questions and
topic recaps.
Distance learning - Basics
Our Online Classroom Live taught courses replicate this –
with the same expert tutors, same high quality materials. You
will view the live lectures in webinar format, and interact with
your tutor and fellow students as if you were In Centre.
Integrated Course
All of our Online Classroom classes integrate Taught and Revision.
Our Online Classroom Live Revision courses replicate this – your
tutor will provide live recaps and demonstrations of exam skills
in action, and support you as you have a go. These sessions are
highly interactive, so that you can get immediate feedback on
your progress.
If you are only attending a Revision course, you can bolt on
the online lectures from the Taught course for £150.
Our Basics package reflects BPP’s uncompromising quality

study. You can start whenever you want and work at your own

Pass Assurance
With pass rates considerably above average we’re proud of the quality of our education and
training. We are also proud of the peace of mind we offer students with our FREE Pass Assurance.
Pass Assurance is available for OCR, OCR Live and In Centre courses and it will protect you if you
fail the exam on your first attempt. If you are unsuccessful in your exam you can book another
course for the same paper at the next sitting free of charge.
