Check POWER and JCB M-fuses, and MPX-B and ECU-IG fuses. CHECK: Check the continuity of the POWER and JCB M-fuses, and MPX-B and ECU-IG fuse. OK: Continuity NG: Replace failure fuse. OK: Go to next step. 2. Check voltage between terminals POWE/ECU-B/IG and GND of back door ECU connector. PREPARATION: Turn the ignition switch ON. CHECK: Measure the voltage between terminals IG and GND. OK: Voltage: 10-14 V PREPARATION: a. Turn the ignition switch OFF. b. Disconnect the back door ECU connector. CHECK: Measure the voltage between terminals POWE/ECU-B and GND. OK: Voltage: 10-14 V OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ). NG: Go to next step. 3. Check harness and connector between back door ECU and body ground ( ). NG: Repair or replace harness or connector. OK: Check and repair harness and connector between back door ECU and battery. BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CIRCUIT CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION The back door courtesy switch is built in the back door lock. This switch goes on when the back door is opened and goes off when back door is closed. Check back door courtesy switch ( ). NG: Replace back door courtesy. OK: Go to next step. 2. Check harness and connector between back door courtesy switch and back door ECU ( ). BACK DOOR UNLOCK DETECTION SWITCH CIRCUIT (W/ THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM) CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION The door unlock detection switch is built in the door lock motor assembly. This switch is ON when the door lock knob is in the unlock position and OFF when the lock knob is in the lock position. The ECU detects the door lock knob conditions is this circuit. It is used as one of the operating conditions for the theft deterrent system. WINDOW LIMIT SWITCH CIRCUIT CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION This switch functions to turn "OFF" before the top dead center, and ECU reads this "OFF signal resulting in closing the window fully. LMT1 switch is ON when the rear wiper arm is in the between stopping and reversing position and OFF when the rear wiper arm is in the except between stopping and reversing position. LMT2 switch is ON when the rear wiper arm is in the except storing position and OFF when the rear wiper arm is in the storing position.
