INTRODUCTION This manual explains how to replace the inverter KEB 09.F5, KEB 09.F4, KEB 10.F5, KEB 10.F4, KEB 12.F5 and KEB 12.F4 with the corresponding MITSUBISHI model. It refers to washing machines LM 6-8-11-14-18-23 manufactured starting from January 1999 until the serial number L200412017. This manual is written in compliance with the European Community Directives in force. The information written in this document are addressed to the service, the technician must be sure to fully understand them before to operate on the machine. This manual must always be available for consultancy. In case it should be damaged, or lost, a new copy must be asked to the manufacturer. The manufacturer is not responsible for consequences coming from a not correct installation of the part because of not complete or missing reading of this document. The manufacturer reserves itself the right to modify the specification here written or the ironer characteristics. Some pictures of this document may differ from reality in some detail. Diagram and technical data may be changed without any previous notice. Instruction and its attachment are parts themselves of the replacement kit, so 2. SAFETY RULES Not respecting the following safety rules may cause damage to people, things or animals. Installation and maintenance of here described parts must be made by authorised personnel which knows the product and work respecting the European Community laws in matter of industrial equipment installation and reparation. The washing machine here described must be used only for linen professional washing: any other used is forbidden if not previously authorized by the manufacturer in written. Do not wash linen soaked with cancerous substances or poison, which are dangerous for people health. Do not approach to the machine with combustible or inflammable products to avoid the fire or explosion risks. Always carefully stick to the washing instructions written on linen. Machine use is not allowed to people under 16 years age. Additional external connection to the machine will release the manufacturer from any responsibility, if they are not duly performed. ELECTROCUTION DANGER Any service on machine electric parts must be operated only by qualified personnel and after that any electrical supply to the machine has been cut. KIT COMPOSITION: OPERATOR PSYCHO-PHYSICAL CONDITION The machine user must be in perfect psychophysical condition; while working assume always a vertical position in front of the machine. Sudden and not controlled movement must be avoided, for example when the linen is introduced or taken out, in order to avoid dangerous impact against the machine. In case other users or other people is present, this must not be source of distraction for the operator working on the machine. While the user is working on the machine, he must not be distracted by TV, radio, etc. or being subject to any other source of distraction. ATTENTION! e) Do not remove the red cables form the numbered terminals, this cables will be used as reference to install the MITSUBISHI inverter. Mark each cable taking as reference the name or the number written on the KEB inverter terminal. f) Remove the power connections which refer to the inverter supply and to the motor cable. g) Remove the KEB Inverter. 4 K295509F5B1B22_02 - K295509F5B1B40_02 – K295512F5B1D22_02 – K295512F5B1D40_02 (E120101A_ENG) 28/12/2012 h) Install the new box (code: 2111166X). The 4 M6 nuts supporting the previous box must be stored. WARNING! Only for the kit K295512F5B1D22_02 is scheduled the connection of the box 2101122X which requires the implementation of new fixing holes. The mounting of this box is provided inside of the machine. If necessary, move the main switch to the right hand side of the back panel realizing a new drilling sequence. i) During this operation, some accessories mounted on the DIN BAR fixed on the box back may need to be removed (i.e.: heating contactor, relay, fuses…). j) Place the MITUSBISHI inverter inside the new empty box and fix it using the M4 nuts supplied with the kit. k) Remove the new inverter plastic cover unscrewing the black central screw. l) Remove the plastic cover on the inverter base to reach the power terminals. m) Control the SYNC-SOURCE jumper, it must be in position SOURCE. (see the below picture). In case extract it and bring it in the correct position using a pliers. 5 K295509F5B1B22_02 - K295509F5B1B40_02 – K295512F5B1D22_02 – K295512F5B1D40_02 (E120101A_ENG) 28/12/2012 The power cable must be connected wihout any section reduction using the 2,5 mm2 terminal supplied with the kit (code: 2950MON025BM). Repeat the same operation for the control cables (usually the red ones); pay attention to the KEB terminal numbering. Use the 1,5 mm2 terminal (2950MON01512). o) Wire the inverter respecting the following convention table (the symbol “+” on the MITSUBISHI terminals means that the terminals must be connected together). TERMINALS KEB F4.S 14 11 12 13 8 9 n) Using a small screw driver point, bring the “I-V” deep switch in position “V” (the white cursor must be near the position “V”). ATTENTION! If necessary, lengthen the main supply cable and the motor supply cable. The extention cables must have the same sections of the original ones. The KIT includes an already enough quantity of N07VK cables section 2,5 mm2 and 1,5 mm2 6 K295509F5B1B22_02 - K295509F5B1B40_02 – K295512F5B1D22_02 – K295512F5B1D40_02 (E120101A_ENG) 28/12/2012 described below. Supply the inverter and press MODE to switch on the PRM red led (programming). Using the knob look for the parameter P160. Press SET once and bring the value to 0, then press SET three times. Then look for parameter P77, press set and bring the volue to 2, then press SET for three times. To access each parameter press SET once; after the modification press SET three time to save the change. The following tables programming list. shows the WARNING! PROGRAMMING LISTS FOR MITSUBISHI INVERTERS ARE AVAILABLE ONLY BY PURCHASING THE RIGHT ARTICLE OR KIT DIRECTLY FROM IMESA SPA. Once the wiring is done, supply the machine and control if the inverter is switching on. In case of mistakes, it is possible to reset the inverter. Press the button PU/EXT until the PU light become ON. Select the parameter ALLC by rotating the knob. Enter in the parameter pressing SET and change its value in 1. Then confirm the value 1 by pressing 3 times SET again. The inverter switch on and show the following value: - 0.00 Hz displayed; - LED ”MON” on; - LED ”EXT” on. Program the inverter as described in the next paragraph. 7. MACHINE EQUIPPED BY FIBER EL9 TIMER In case of machine equipped with FIBER EL9 TIMER, the washing speed can be regulated increasing or decreasing the value of the parameter P126. During the washing cycle, with drum full loaded and the water level reached, the 6. PROGRAMMING ATTENTION! INVERTER BOX CLOSING The inverter must be protected by accidental contacts with people and/or object. Close the box using the previous cover. In case the original cover is not provided with any aeration grid use the plastic washer code 2090903X (to be order separately) as shown in the next picture. In case the metal cover is already provided with aeration grid, this precaution won’t be necessary. 8
