As a successful producer of porn films, you have to
trick your competitors to earn yourself enough money
and to slide through the slippery goal as the winner!
A card game for 2 to 5 players.
Duration of game app. 45 minutes.
1.0 Preparation –
How to get started
Before you start, at least one of the players should have read all the rules.
Shuffle the card deck and deal 5 cards to each of players. Each film
producer gets 5 yellow money chips as starting capital. The remaining
money chips are placed in the middle of the table. Yellow money chips
are worth 1 credit, red ones 10.
Each player gives his production company a flashy or kinky name.
2.0 Starting the game –
actors get in your positions!
The horniest looking player starts the contest to produce the juciest film.
The other producers follow in a clockwise order. This order is then kept
until the end of the game. If you play Project Pornstar more than once,
the starting player changes at the beginning of every new game in a clockwise order.
★ Each player may produce only one film at a time, i.e. after the other.
★ All cards, that belong to the players’ current film production, are laid
out visibly in front of them.
★ You can also trigger the start of a production for another player, for
example by placing a bad actor in front of them.
★ Cards that have been played should be visible to all players.
★ Try to keep the amount of money chips you have a secret.
3.0 Order of play –
and action!
At the beginning of each game turn the current player brings the number
of cards in his hand to 5. Then the player decides for one of the following
three game actions:
Place Cards
★ The player can place a maximum of 2 cards!
1 Action Card (3.1) AND / OR
Either 1 Actor Card (3.2) OR 1 Hardware Card (3.3).
Change Cards
★ Discard up to 3 cards from your hand and
draw new ones from the deck.
Finish a production
★ Finish your current production (3.4).
By finishing one of the three actions the turn of the next player in order
starts.
Every player should give a colourful explanation with every card he plays.
This will stimulate a fun and relaxed gaming atmosphere.
3.1 Actions
Red Cards; symbol: movie clapper.
Important! To play an Action Card always costs the player 1 credit.
Place it in the middle of the table with the others.
Action Cards influence the course of the game and can be crucial to who
wins the game. You can find a detailed explanation of all Action Cards in
chapter 5.0.
★ Players may place Action Cards on their own production as well as
those of others.
★ The first card that is played to start your (or somebody else’s) production can be an Action Card (for example Promotion Tour).
3.2 Actors
Pink cards (the girls), blue cards (the guys), purple cards (other actors;
symbol: question mark).
Each of these cards shows the name and face of an acting member of a
porn production
★ On the left hand side of the card are stars, which show the quality and
points value of the actor. Yellow ones are positive, black ones negative.
★ Players can place an actor on any production on the table.
★ Each actor can only be combined with a maximum of 1 Hardware
and 1 Action Card at any one time. If for example an Action Card is
cancelled with the XXX Card, only then you may play another Action
Card on that specific actor.
★ 15 actors show a yellow coin with a single letter (A, B or C) on the left
hand side of the card. The effects of different combinations of letters
are explained in chapter 3.4.
3.3 Hardware
Green cards; symbol: up yours!
On these cards you find the sex toys used by the actors during a film
production.
★ On the left hand side of the card are stars, which show the quality and
points value of the toy. Yellow ones are positive, black ones negative.
★ Each player can place a Hardware Card on any actor on the table.
★ Hardware Cards that show a sign for a man or a woman apply only
to the corresponding gender of the actor.
★ The actors Super Dildo, Hasso and Sex Doll may not be equipped
with Hardware Cards.
3.4 Finish production
Important! Players may only finish their production if it consists of a
minimum of 3 cards (played on the table in front of them). These 3 cards
must contain at least 2 Actor Cards or 1 Actor and 1 Hardware Card.
★ For every yellow star the player earns 1 credit.
★ For every black star the player pays 1 credit.
★ Letter combinations: 15 actors show a yellow coin with a single letter
(A, B or C) on the left hand side of the card. If certain precise combinations as a total of all actors show up exactly in a production, the
success of the production raises as follows:
2 identical letters in a production
= 2 additional yellow stars
3 identical letters in a production
= 5 additional yellow stars
3 different letters in a production
= 4 additional yellow stars
If you have further actors with letters on their cards (for example
A+A+B) the bonus expires! Actors without a letter do not affect the
combination of letters. A Distribution-modifier multiplies the bonus
points! Twins and/or a production bonus (3.41) are also possible within
the same production.
★ Twins: The actresses Amber Saint and Ruby Saint are twins. Should
these two show up in one production it upgrades the worth of the
film by 3 yellow stars. A Distribution-modifier multiplies the bonus
points! A letter combination and/or a production bonus (3.41) are also
possible.
★ After the player has received (or paid) his money the cards for the
production are discarded.
★ After the current production is finished the player can start a new
one with his next game turn.
★ Should a film have to many black stars, so that the result is negative,
the player has to pay for the deficit. If the player does not have enough
money, the player is bankrupt and starts with a new production
company (1.0) with the next game turn. As an optional rule a bankrupt
player is removed for the rest of the game.
3.41 Production bonus
If a production is finished and contains one of the following card
combinations, the player can claim an additional bonus. If more than
one combination applies the player can choose the more attractive one.
★ Mixed Double: If a finished production consists at least of 1 man, 1
woman and 1 Hardware Card it gets 1 additional yellow star. A Distribution-Modifier does not apply to this bonus.
★ Gangbang: If a production consists at least of 5 men and just 1 woman
OR 5 women and just 1 man are involved this piece of art gets 5 additional yellow stars. A Distribution-Modifier does not apply to this
bonus.
★ Orgy: If at least 3 men and 3 women did their best in a finished
production an extra of 4 yellow stars is granted. A Distribution-Modifier does not apply to this bonus.
★ Porn Classic: If a production is valued at 10 or more negative credits
(without a Distribution-Modifier), it is so bad, that everybody wants
it (for a laugh). The negative result changes to positive!
4.0 End of the game –
Cut!
When the last card of the deck is drawn the game ends instantly after the
respective player has ended his/her turn. Now all productions on the
table that can be finished as described in chapter 3.4 will be valued.
The player with most credits wins the game! In case of two or more
players with the same amount of credits each draws a card. The player
with the most yellow or least black stars wins. Cards without stars count
zero.
★ An alternative way to end the game is to set up a maximum playing
time. The game ends for example upon the fifth ‚money shot‘ in the
video you have running in the background!
5.0 Action Cards
In this chapter you will find detailed explanations on every action card
in Project Pornstar. To play an action card always costs 1 credit. If a
player does not have any money left, playing an action card is not possible.
AIDS
= Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. Immune deficiency resulting
from an infection with the AIDS virus. This card can be played on any
actor on the table. The actor will infect any other person on the set and
the whole production is cancelled. The player discards all cards from the
production and can start a new film with the next game turn. The AIDS
card is discarded as well.
★ If an actor is equipped with the Rubber Card (= Condom), the AIDS
Card cannot be played on this production.
★ The actors Super Dildo, Hasso and Sex Doll are (for obvious reasons)
immune to AIDS. The AIDS card cannot be played on one of them.
If one or more of the three takes part in a production that is closed
due to AIDS their card will also be discarded.
Casting
The player may take an Actor (including attached Hardware) from any
production on the table. He may alternatively take 1 discarded Actor
from the stack. The chosen Actor Card can be placed on any production
on the table. When that game turn is completed the Casting Card is
discarded.
Theft
This card can be played on any production. The player may choose a
piece of Hardware from any set and place it either on any actor or in
his/her hand. The card is discarded after use.
Sloppy Porn
This card can be played on any production. The film is not finished yet
and the critics have already screwed it. 2 black stars! Only one Sloppy
Porn Card per film. After finishing the production (3.4) the card is
discarded.
Hacker Download
This card can be played on any production. Uncut Material got in the
hands of ruthless hackers and can be found everywhere on the Internet.
Bad luck, that’s worth 2 black stars! Only one Hacker Download Card
per film. After finishing the production (3.4) the card is discarded.
Moneyshot Deluxe
This card can be played on any production. The production runs just
perfect, the actors are highly motivated and the film is now rated plus 2
yellow stars. Only one Moneyshot Deluxe Card per film. After finishing
the production (3.4) the card is discarded.
Paperbag
This card can be played on any actor. As nobody can see the actors face
anymore, nobody knows how good or bad looking he/she is. That’s why
this actor’s stars do not count when valuing the production (3.4).
For example: Horst Hunchback is worth 4 black stars and gets the paperbag over his head. When finishing the production he now does not count
4 minus credits but 0.
Only one Paperbag Card per film. After finishing the production (3.4)
the card is discarded.
★ Hardware Cards that are or get combined with this actor count as
usual.
Pornstar Deluxe
This card can be played on any actor. The actor got an important award
and this boosts the rating of the current production! 3 additional yellow
stars. Only one Pornstar Deluxe Card per actor. After finishing the
production (3.4) the card is discarded.
★ Even if the actor is already equipped with a Hardware Card he/she
can collect this award!
★ Should the actor have to go to the discarding pile, Pornstar Deluxe
and any combined Hardware Card are discarded as well.
Promotion Tour
This card can be played on any production. The actors have lots of public
events and show all they have everywhere they are. Adds 2 yellow stars.
Only one Promotion Tour Card per film. After finishing the production
(3.4) the card is discarded.
Director
This card can be played on any production. The director just finished
his studies and is now highly motivated to give your porn film a cultural
touch and to change it into a full-filling piece of art. If the player in
question finishes this production the director’s black stars obviously make
it less successful. Only one Director Card per film. After finishing the
production (3.4) the card is discarded.
Distribution
This card can be played on any production. The player has found a highly
professional distribution partner, which spends a lot of money on
marketing and sells the film under its own label. Only one Distribution
Card per film. The shown multiplier applies to the result when finishing
the production. After finishing the production (3.4) the card is discarded.
For example: The players production is worth 5 credits and has got a Distribution Card that multiplies by 2. The player now gets 10 credits for the
film.
XXX-Rated (Special action)
This is a Special Action Card. Any player can play it at any time to cancel
any opponent’s action. This includes the playing of an Actor, Hardware
and Action Card as well as the finishing of a production (3.4) and the
removal of a formerly played card.
★ An XXX-Rated Card can only be blocked by another one. The players
can play as many XXX-Rated Card as the want (or have) until the
decision is clear. The playing of an XXX-Rated Card costs 1 credit
each.
★ If an Actor Card goes to the discarding pile its combined Hardware
and Action Cards go with it!
★ The restrictions of chapter 3.0 do not apply for XXX-Rated Cards.
Further to any chosen action in the player’s game turn, as many XXXRated Cards as desired can be played – as long as you have enough
money, of course.
