SAMPLER” RETURNS:
Ticket Selection Order:
The processing of ticket orders and the assignment of seat location is based on the
number of concerts you attend (Full Season, “Package”/”Sampler” or just individual
concert[s]). Exact Location is subject to availability. There are THREE (3) designated
On-Sale dates (SEE below). Initially we will process EXCLUSIVELY Season Tickets
(ALL 10 concerts) followed by “Packages” (“District,” “Murry’s,” “6-Ticket Sampler”)
and then finally single tickets to all events. The exception is tickets to Jazz at Lincoln
Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis (JLCO), which go on sale with Season Tickets.
The increasingly popular “6-TICKET SAMPLER,” which goes ON SALE AUGUST 8, is a
great way to “wet your Jazz Series feet.” It allows you to select a variety of concerts
or purchase multiple tickets to a single concert. This season’s “Sampler” includes:
Single tickets to BOTH JLCO & Chucho Valdés concerts OR two (2) tickets to EITHER
concert AND then your choice of FOUR (4) TICKETS to ANY show or combination of
shows including JLCO & Chucho Valdés. We will give you best tickets available with
the exception of JLCO, where we offer Level 2 best seats available. If you would like
to purchase all six of your tickets to either JLCO or Valdés you may; if you want to go
to JLCO, Valdés and four other different shows you can do that as well.
Ticket Ordering Priorities & Dates:
• PRIORITY 1: JULY 18-AUGUST 5 – SEASON TICKET & JLCO ORDERS
ONLY. The Jazz Series Box Office will ONLY accept Season Ticket Orders during
this window. (NOTE: Seat locations will be selected on a tiered system based on
length of ticket buying commitment and contribution level. JLCO tickets may be
purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets, on line at ticketmaster.com or through the
Jazz Series Box Office. Using appropriate “Venue Map” [SEE p. 13] select your three
[3] preferred seating locations. All season ticket locations will be assigned
by August 7. In order to participate in this process Season Ticket Orders must be
received by August 5.)
IMPORTANT: New for this season: In order to qualify in the
Season Ticket Priority 1 category you must purchase at least an equal
number of season tickets and other Packages/Samplers/single tickets
with the exception of Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton
Marsalis. (i.e.: if you purchase one season ticket you can purchase only one
additional Package/Sampler at the same time; if you purchase 4 season tickets you
can purchase up to 4 Packages/Samplers at the same time. You cannot purchase 1
season ticket and 2 or more Packages/Samplers.
• PRIORITY 2: AUGUST 8-SEPTEMBER 6 – “PACKAGE” TICKET ORDERS
AVAILABLE. In addition to Season Tickets and JLCO tickets, “Murry’s,” “District,”
“6-Ticket Sampler” package orders will be accepted and processed on a first-come,
first-served basis ONLY at the Jazz Series Box Office [NOTE: DO NOT SUBMIT
your “Package” order before August 8.]
• PRIORITY 3: BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 7 – TICKETS TO INDIVIDUAL
EVENTS/ALL SHOWS ON SALE at all Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com
and at the Jazz Series Box Office. Season Tickets/Packages remain available.
Every Seat is Reserved/Reserve at the Price
Level You Prefer/Split Level Ticketing:
All seating for Jazz Series events is reserved unless otherwise noted. Once the initial
run of Season Ticket Orders are processed (August 7), then “Package” Orders will be
assigned (along with subsequent Season Ticket orders) in the order they are received.
(Please DO NOT submit “Package” Orders before August 8.) Subject to availability,
you may reserve seats at a specific location in each venue as well as at the Price Level
(Level 1, Level 2, Level 3) you prefer. Ticket holders that wish to purchase tickets to
the full season, but at different price levels for the “District” and “Murry’s” Packages,
must purchase them as separate Packages rather than at Season Ticket prices.
However, you are eligible to order combined level packages during the exclusive
Season Ticket Order window, which runs July 18 to August 7.

GROUP SALES (20 or More Tickets to Single Event):
Purchase 20 or more tickets for a specific performance and receive a 15%-20% discount off the single-ticket price. Available only through the Jazz Series Box Office.
STUDENT DISCOUNT/FREE TICKETS:
Available to all students at all Ticketmaster outlets including the Jazz Series Box
Office. (MU Students may charge tickets at Student Center Box Office.) Please note
that Columbia-based students may attend the Russell Malone/MU Concert Jazz Band
FREE. Those students who do not attend a Columbia school may purchase tickets
for $8. All students must present an ID at the Jazz Series Box Office when receiving
ticket. (1 ticket per student ID permitted).

Events feature reserved seats unless otherwise noted. A few important reminders as
you fill out your order form:

• If you haven’t previously or you have moved recently, please sign up for our traditional mailing list, our “E-Note” e-mail list OR both. Again, print clearly.
• Please fill out all the requested information including contact information. That
way if there is a problem we can resolve it easily and quickly.
• DO NOT SUBMIT TICKET ORDERS BEFORE STATED DATE(S).

• “Shared Forms” [Splitting season, Package or concert ticket costs with another
party.]: We can NO LONGER ACCEPT “SHARED” ORDER forms, which require us to
tabulate separate purchases and handling fees and conduct separate mailings for
multiple parties. We ask that each party involved with a ticket purchase complete
their own form and payment. If multiple parties are involved, please figure your
total among yourselves and send in a single form and payment, with one set of
contact information OR we will honor separate order forms that arrive together in
one envelope with separate payments.
• Shipping & Handling Fees Requirement: $1 per ticket per concert. We
attempt to keep these fees to a minimum. Regardless of choice of payment – check
or charge – please include with your payment unless paying in person with a check
or cash -- or we cannot process your order. PLEASE NOTE: REGARDLESS OF FORM
OF PAYMENT, INDIVIDUAL TICKETS ALL COUNT AS $1. Please make sure to assign
appropriate amount from the minimum of $1 (a single ticket to a single event) to a
maximum of $11 per order (no matter how many tickets/events you order.) (NOTE:
Each concert counts as a separate ticket; a season ticket is 10 concerts = $10 S/H).
“Package”/”Sampler” orders represent multiple tickets, NOT one ticket.)
• When selecting performances at Murry’s, please remember to indicate if you
would like to attend the Matinee or the Evening performance and check the appropriate box.
• If you purchase Level 2 tickets for the John Scofield show at the Blue Note, then
please check the appropriate box to indicate Lower Balcony or Table on Floor seating For Level 3 tickets, please check the appropriate box that indicates whether you
prefer reserved upper balcony seating or standing room/general admission in the
bar area.
