GROUP NEWS
Storytelling We will be joined by a lovely lady called Janet Izzy, from Barefoot
Books, for a few weeks starting on the 18th September (TBC). She will be doing
storytelling and has some lovely books to sell at reasonable prices too! Don’t
miss out, we went to one of her stories on Saturday and got fed into the bargain!
Yoga We will soon be having a yoga taster session from a lovely lady called Tina.
It is hoped that if it is popular we can make it a regular slot at group. She will be
doing a mix of pregnancy, baby and toddler yoga so everyone will be able to join
in. We are hoping this will also begin on the 18th September (TBC).
Craft Party A big thank you to Helen Jones for holding another craft party for us.
Hopefully we will have another near Christmas.
Produce Show Well done to the children who helped with our collage entry to
the annual show. We didn’t win anything but it was lovely to see our work on the
wall for the entire town to see.
Charity Fayre Day Our pitch at the rearranged Charity Day was not as profitable
as we had hoped, but it did get us out there for people to learn what we do. We
are carrying on with the fundraising within group with a lucky lolly pick and guess
the number sweetie jar so please have a go and help us raise a bit.
Nearly New We now have a small amount of nearly new baby items on sale at
group. We have loads more (in Nic’s shed!) so if there is anything you need just
ask and we’ll see what we have.
Real Nappy Trial packs are now available to borrow in sizes XS, S, M, L
and Potty Training. We ask for a £10 returnable deposit plus a small
donation to the group. Nappy advice is free! If you’d like to know more speak to
Jeni at the group or call on the contact number above.
A Big Thank You to Lostwithiel Town Forum Environment group for lending us
their gazebo on Charity Day.

A Huge Thank-you and a Plea for Help! As you all know, Nic has been
running the group with me since we set up last December. She has been
brilliant giving up loads of her time both at the group and behind the
scenes with fundraising etc. However Nic will be starting the next step on
her career next month and so will no longer have as much time to give. I
am therefore asking if there are any Mum’s who would be willing to join
me in running the group. There are many jobs to be done and as much or
as little time that you have will be much appreciated. I won’t be able to
do it all by myself!
Huge thank-you Nic for all the help you have given, I couldn’t have done it
without you, you’re a star!!
