How to Set Up: SinglePoint Online Consumer Quotes (OCQ)

USER GUIDE
How to Set Up:
SinglePoint Online Consumer Quotes (OCQ)
It only takes a few steps to turn your website into a dynamic
marketing tool where visitors can request a quote from you at
any time of the day or night.
Once you’ve completed the OCQ online registration and determine what method of OCQ works
best for your agency, all you’ll need to do is to copy a small piece of HTML code onto your website (just like embedding YouTube videos, it’s simple).
Follow the instructions below, based on which method you choose for using OCQ:
Method 1
EMBED THE OCQ REQUEST-A-QUOTE FORM ON YOUR SITE
This option allows you to insert the Request-a-Quote form onto a secure page of your website.
You’ll have full control of where the form displays on your website and all of the elements on your
site that surround it.
Here’s what you’ll need to do:
• Determine where on your website you will be placing the Request-a-Quote form (based on our guidelines).
• Copy the HTML code sent to you from Boston Software and paste it in your website’s code.
• Run a SoftSync update to upgrade your WinRater/SinglePoint account so it can accept OCQ quote request data.
• You will need to run WKSetup.exe on each PC that will be using OCQ. WKSetup.exe is located in the WinRater folder (found either on your machine’s C drive or on your network, depending on your office’s setup).
• Review the How To Use OCQ Workflow Guide with your CSRs.
Method 2
LINK TO THE REQUEST-A-QUOTE FORM
This option allows you to insert a pre-designed graphical button on your website. Once the user
clicks the Request-a-Quote button, a new browser window will open displaying just the form. The
Request-a-Quote form can be customized to show your logo, background color and agency contact
information.
Here’s what you’ll need to do:
• Determine where on your website you will be placing the Request-a-Quote button.
• Customize the form’s page by sending Boston Software your agency logo, colors, slogan and contact information.
• Copy the HTML code sent to you from Boston Software and paste it in your website’s code.
• Run a SoftSync Update to upgrade your WinRater/SinglePoint account so it can accept
OCQ quote request data.
• You will need to run WKSetup.exe on each PC that will be using OCQ. WKSetup.exe is located in the WinRater folder (found either on your machine’s C drive or on your network, depending on your office’s setup).
• Review the How To Use OCQ Workflow Guide with your CSRs.
Helpful Tips:
Use an email address that is
checked regularly to get the
notifications about pending
quotes as quickly as possible.
Because Boston Software is
unable to help with general
website design issues, we
recommend that you have a
technically savvy person knowledgeable in HTML to make the
changes to your website.
Let people know that they can
request a quote directly from
your website. Consider sending
out a letter or an email to
all of your current customers
announcing this new service.
Now that you have this great new
tool, market it!
Method 3
USE YOUR OWN FORM TO COLLECT QUOTE REQUEST DATA
This option requires you to map the data you collect to the WinRater/SinglePoint file structure
so that it can flood the appropriate WinRater fields. Boston Software will assist you with this
process, but in most cases you will need a computer programmer or web developer to handle
this technical setup process. There may be additional fees from Boston Software if significant
customization is required. Please contact us to discuss this project in detail.
