Getting started
Go to www.pei2014.ca/fund_apply and click the "REGISTER” link.
Create your applicant profile details
Enter the Registered or Official Name of your organization
Enter your first and last name, along with a valid email address
Please ensure you input a valid email address; we will use it to confirm the activation of your
applicant profile.
Choose a username and password
These will be used to log in to your application. Your password should be at least 8 characters
long, easy to remember but hard to guess. Re-enter your password to confirm.
Enter the verification code
Please insert the characters that are shown into the entry field.
Click "Submit”
Check your email account
Please click the activation link, which we will have sent to the email address you have provided.
If you haven’t received this after fifteen to twenty minutes, please check your junk/spam mail
folder or contact us toll-free at 1-877-PEI-2014 (1-877-734-2014) or by email at
[email protected].
Enter your login details
Enter your username and password. Click "Login”.

When applying online you can save the progress of your application at anytime and return to it at
a later date.

Selecting your Application Form
In order to begin working on your application form, you must first decide on the grant option that
best describes your project idea for 2014:
Small grants with bold vision – a funding request up to $2,014
for projects that cultivate participation in the Sesquicentennial and inspire creativity in
communities throughout Prince Edward Island.
Mid-sized grants that capture the imagination – a funding request between $2,015
and $25,000
for projects that unite individuals and celebrate Prince Edward Island’s creative voice, history,
and heritage.
Large grants to inspire all of us – a funding request between $25,001 and $250,000
for projects that dream big, speak to the importance of the 2014 celebration, and inspire our
nation.
Completing your Application Form
When you have decided on your grant option, you are ready to begin working on your application
form. As a reminder, you can save the progress of your application at anytime and return to it
later.
When you have completed your application form, your package should include all items from the
following checklist:

Congratulations! Your application is complete and is ready to be submitted. In this step we will fill
you in on getting your application to us and what to expect once it has been submitted.

Submitting Your Application Online
Once all the required items have been completed, click "Submit Application for Approval”. The status
of your application will then change from "Not Submitted” to "Submitted”. You will be sent an email
message confirming that we have received your application.

Please ensure that all required items from the application checklist have been included in your
package. Also, please ensure that any handwritten documents, which may be included, are
legible and easy to read.
Please be aware of the following deadlines when completing your application:
Application deadline for Large Grants is January 11th, 2013, 4:30 P.M.
Application deadline for Mid-sized Grants is February 15, 2013, 4:30 P.M.
Application deadline for Small Grants is March 15, 2013, 4:30 P.M.
After Submitting Your Application
After you have submitted your application it will be reviewed by a PEI 2014 Inc. selection
committee made up of staff and advisors, and the PEI 2014 Community Advisory Committee.
Final approval will be made by the PEI 2014 Board of Directors.
PEI 2014 Inc. will inform applicants about whether or not their project will be funded beginning in
March 2013; however, PEI 2014 Inc. reserves the right to determine when grant recipients are
announced publicly.
