The Board of Trustees of Sandspit Road
School invites applications from parents
who wish to enrol their sons and
daughters at Sandspit Road School for
2014.
The deadline for out of zone applications
is Wednesday 4 September, 2013.

Sadly we say goodbye this week to
Raewyn Jolliffe. Raewyn is retiring after
five years at a Teacher Aide here at
Sandspit Road School.
15 places for New Entrant students
are likely to be available for out of zone
students next year. The exact number of
places will depend on the number of
applications received from students who
live within the school’s home zone.
If the number of out of zone applications
exceeds the number of places available,
students will be selected by ballot. If a
ballot is required it will be held on
Wednesday 11th September 2013.
PTA Ladies How to Night
Raewyn has made a great impact and
helped so many children with their
learning and she will be missed by
everyone who has worked with her.
We wish Raewyn all the very best with
her retirement and we hope that she will
find the time to drop in and visit.

last week’s senior cross country.

What a great fundraiser on Friday night.
Thanks to everyone who came along and
supported the PTA. It looks as though
the PTA made $3,400 on the night.
From our event we will be sending
through teams to compete at the Waiuku
School’s Group Cross Country.
Congratulations to the PTA team for
their organisation and efforts to plan and
run this event– no doubt planning is
already underway for next year’s event.
This event is scheduled for next
Wednesday– 28th. Those who have
qualified at part of our school team will
be notified by Mrs Hughes and Mrs
Remington.

Well done to our six teams who took part
in the Franklin School Mathex
competition last Wednesday. Our school
was well represented with a couple of
teams doing very well in the final results.

for preparing the teams.

There were over 100 teams entered in each
day. There were schools from all over
Franklin and the North of Waikato. We had
some fantastic results. They are as follows:
