Prayer for General Synod
Friday 11 July - Tuesday 15 July
As General Synod gathers in York for its meeting, we
are being urged to pray for the delegates and all the
business that will be considered there, not just that
reported by the media.
The agenda can be downloaded and sessions can be
viewed live and online through the Church of England
website.
www.churchofengland.org
Almighty God,
you have given your Holy Spirit to the Church
to lead us into all truth:
bless with the Spirit’s grace and presence
the members of this synod;
keep us steadfast in faith and united in love,
that we may manifest your glory
and prepare the way of your kingdom;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Readings for today:
Isaiah 55 10-13
Romans 8 1-11
