How to Find or Change Your Password
These instructions can also be used to help change your password. To begin, please turn on your computer, and go to
www.richmondgov.com/retirment:

Step 1
On the Richmond Retirement System
website, click Login.
The web address is
www.richmondgov.com/retirement.
Step 2
On the RAPIDS Retiree Self Service login
page, click Login Assistance.
Step 3
Next, click the box next to User Name and
enter your RAPIDS Retiree Self Service
user name.
HINT:
Your user name is your last name, first
initial, and the year of your birth.
For example, Scott DemoRetiree who was
born January 1, 1950 would have a user
name DEMORETIREES1950.
Step 4
Click Forgot Password.
Step 5
Next, you will need to check your email.
An automated email will be sent from
[email protected] to the email
address associated with your RAPIDS
Retiree Self Service account.
The email will have the subject FYI:
Password Reset, and for some individuals,
this may be delivered to a Spam or Junk
Mail folder.
Step 6
Open the email and click Reset your
password.
Step 7
Enter your user name again.
Next, think of a password and type it in
the Password box. This cannot be the
same as your old password.
Retype this password in the Confirm Your
Password box.
Lastly, click Confirm Password.
HINT:
Your password helps to protect your
account, so the RRS recommends that you
(a) create a strong password, and
(b) change your password regularly.
Your password must
(1) contain at least 1 letter and 1 number,
(2) have no repeating characters or
numbers, and

(3) it must be a new password
After you create a new password, you will
see a confirmation page.
Click Home at the top right of your screen,
and log in to RAPIDS Retiree Self Service
normally.
Be sure to enter your user name and the
password that you just created in Step 7 to
log in.
