HowtoJointhe2014CrossCountryTeam:
Please respond to [email protected] with your intention to run and in
which races you can participate
1. Become a card-carrying Member of the USATF Membership
If you plan to run cross-country and have not already renewed your USATF
membership, please do so ASAP. You cannot run without one. Your number will
show on the USATF Pacific Association website.
Verify you are on the list by going to
http://www.pausatf.org/data/members.php?club=143 to find your name (www.pausatf.org | Members | Member List | Club List | Empire Runners |
Roster).
Sign up on line at www.pausatf.org | Join Now! We are club No. 143 (Empire
Runners).
2. Have Active Empire Runners Club Membership
Please ensure your Club membership is up to date. To join or renew, see our
website under Membership.
3. Get Some Threads – you’ll need a uniform
Run 3 races and get your singlet free!
Singlets run large, so we recommend one size smaller than usual.
Black shorts or running skirt with an Empire Runners official singlet are required
to run as a team member.
This year we are purchasing new singlets. Singlets are $30 each with $10 off for
each race you run. Therefore, the XC program provides these new singlets free if
you run at least 3 races.
Contact John Harmon for your singlet.
For all other Empire Runners apparel, see the club apparel page for further
information.

RaceRegistrationfor2014
Two weeks prior to each race, I will call for commitments with a due date of
approximately 7 days prior to race day. These can be made to me directly and to
your team captain.
Entry Forms:
I am still working on exactly how to organize the registration process this year. I
am looking at TeamSnap to organize our teams. TeamSnap is a web-based tool
for organizing team sports activities. This would enable us to fill out race
registration and waiver forms electronically.
The default plan is to use our traditional paper forms, which I would send you
electronically to sign and return to me.
I plan to submit pre-registration entries electronically to the race directors along
with a mailed copy and check. Your commitment to pre-registration on time is
appreciated.
Signature for Waiver: Anyone racing is required to sign a waiver, which will be
part of the registration form. My hope is that we can provide this electronically
through TeamSnap signups, but if that proves non-compliant with USATF rules,
then I will require a signed entry form for each race, regardless if you are
running or not. No exceptions.
This must be administered by me or a designated team captain and turned in
prior to the start of your race. Otherwise you are not allowed to participate.
Please help me make this easy.
