NWSA Save Our Sports 5K
The Niagara Wheatfield Sports Alliance will sponsor our first 5K to raise funds for 15 sports teams that were cut from the NW school budget this year. Our goal is to assist in raising $87, 000 and encourage good community health and participation. Halloween Costumes welcome! “ NO FALCON LEFT BEHIND” When: Saturday, November 1, 2014 10 AM start Where: Niagara Wheatfield HS, 2292 Saunders Settlement Road, Sanborn NY Cost: $20 entrance fee, student runners can be sponsored (see attached sheet). Prizes to top 3 sponsored runners! Runners under 10 Free with paid adult! This USATF sanctioned race will take place along the NW nature trail, beginning and ending on campus. Questions can be directed to 361‐3631 or 215‐3616. Fee includes t‐shirt for first 300 preregistered runners and light refreshments after the race. Awards will be given to top overall male and female finishers and top male and female in each of the following age brackets: 14 and under, 15‐19, 20‐14, 25‐29, 30‐34, 35‐39, 40‐44, 45‐49, 50‐54, 55‐59, 60‐64, 65‐69, 70+. Prizes for best costumes. Race timing by WNY Finish Line and Timing Services. Packet Pick Up: Friday, October 31 from 2:30‐4:30 PM at NWHS or beginning at 8:30 AM race day. I ,the undersigned ,understand that the NWSA Save Our Schools 5K (‘the Event” )sponsored by the NWSA, and held on the grounds of the Niagara Wheatfield Central School District, is an athletic event that should only be engaged in by persons who are physically capable of participation. I also understand and acknowledge that my participation entails risks, including, but not limited to, serious bodily injury or death cause by my actions as well as the acts or omissions or others. I am voluntarily entering the Event and I assume all risks of injury or damage to my person or property resulting in directly or indirectly, wholly or in part, from my participation in the Event. In consideration for, among other things, my being permitted to participate in the Event, I waive, release, covenant not to sue, and hold harmless the District, NWSA and USATF, (which is to include, for purposes of the Waiver, all of the District’s agents, employees, and representatives, along with USATF, its employees, directors, assigns & USATF Certified Officials) of , from, and for any and all claims, suits, or damages of any kind in whole or in part by the District or any other person or thing at the Event even though such claim of liability may arise out of the negligence or fault on the part of the District.
